sorry andres <3 for what it's worth, i really did not see that bus coming, nad up until your hammer on iv, i was really hesitating
I will straight up disregard all reason if you have a PR dream again. You can come back and be like, “I dreamt that Locke is a N2 Bulletproof Multitasking Cop and Self-Targeting Doctor,” and I will go, “Okay, Locke kill it is then.”

you gotta do the "high volume high activity" play as scum first before you dip into the opposite spectrum :P
It’s less about trying to be less polarized and more on trying to play a style that doesn’t make me want to surround the thread 24/7 and spew thoughts because it can affect my RL when I don’t have proper life/mafia separation.

Koba that’s a good suggestion that I’ve sort of tried but find myself pulling teeth so I just can’t do it consistently and don’t have the wim to fully break through. I can emulate my town meta in bursts if I really try.

But again also I just don’t want to play like how I used to play as either alignment anymore. I think I saw someone say how I can just keep up with the most recent pages and engage off of that without reading the full game. Hopefully people don’t get too pissed at me in the future if I do that

I think having a set time where you are online/post and refusing to post outside of that set time is fine. Strikes a pretty good balance? You can do a post cap per day for yourself where you only do like 5-10 posts per day and refuse to do more.

I failed strategically to win this game and I think that’ll hurt for a bit, because we could have had it.

It’s funny because I came in and I said I REALLY don’t want to bus and it was just made impossible. I fully planned on openwolfing until getting executed and I ended up as the last guy around with a lot of really questionable pushes and some horrific mechanical arguments. Shoot me next time I try to stick to there being an unclaimed Ascetic that was investigated by a Gunsmith still alive for some reason after an even night when they claimed to be Even night. Absurd.

some comments:

On the Almost50 force replace:
obviously, him trying to clear himself via his online status constitutes an unacceptable use of OGI. The funny thing about these games is that the timeframe is wide enough that the rules dealing with this have already been addressed since then. The scumteam was understandably upset about that post. Having not done much modding I deferred to the listmods before taking action here, and it was settled on that a force replace was the right call rather than a modkill. I think that worked out for the best, as it ultimately did not have a dramatic effect on people's reads on the slot, and a modkill would have significantly altered the gamestate. (Of course, the mechanical clear probably mitigated some of the damage but that wasn't a factor in the decision). My one regret was not thinking to blank that section of the post the moment I saw it, had I thought to do so it might have been resolved a bit more cleanly, but I was over-cautious and didn't think of it as an option at the time.

On toxicity:
The game clearly got too heated at times and I was lax in addressing it. I did issue an immediate private warning to frogsterking for as that post was clearly over the line. The replace out was voluntary on his part. I mostly stayed back from the conflict otherwise, as I generally prefer to not intervene unless absolutely necessary, but even if posts individually weren't crossing the line, the attacks being sustained over such a long period of time might have pushed things too far? I felt as though I should have issued warnings sooner, at any rate, because it felt like when I finally had to intervene I had taken too log to do so. My impression was at that point the argument had degraded into unproductive insults between aristeia and mathblade, but the hostility was present long befre that. It's hrd to keep track of every post in a game, at any rate. It's something I'll need to consider in the future, at any rate. I think in the future I have to try to be more on top of things.

That’s what I was trying to not get VFP to mention.
I didn’t realize he had a mech clear because hadn’t read.

I didn’t want to be cleared for OGI.

@IV you did good! I had a hoot honestly and I wouldn’t recommend anyone try and out-argue Datisi. It’s funny because I was cackling when I saw that I hadn’t misread Datisi because it’s both funny and damning. I mean getting you right when you’ve been 50/50 in alignments is really good accuracy and it’s hard to argue against. It’s also why I kept the Town Read there until I couldn’t hold it anymore. Because I knew you would be out to get me. I predicted it!

I have a lot of praise for some Town players here and there wasn’t anyone I think played really subpar. I don’t have positive things to say about that A50 stunt but I can’t argue it affected the game so I’m okay with this loss.

Well modded catboi!

Yeah no 100%. That was an error. I didn’t believe the claim for a second btw hahaha you’ll see in the PT. It was purely done for strategic reasons.

Anyway, congrats to the town on winning, thanks to you all for playing. Kudos to mathblade for making the right call in the end, it's a very difficult thing to pull yourself out of a bad tunnel, speaking from experience.

Page 3 can usually be ignored tbh. Just give something more shiny and people go look at more shiny or figure out what the person wants and give it to them then they usually Unvote

Being able to close things out is important. I think eventually if you allow town to talk to each other uninterrupted they'll be able to find each other. Was certainly on my mind in Open 841.

Gotcha, yeah I'm gonna give this another try at some point with all this in mind. "Catching up" is just always a slog that makes me not want to sign in and compounds the issue, so this approach definitely appeals to me. Hopefully I'll roll town at first too which will make it a bit easier. Thanks guys!

I genuinely didn't see this ending in a town victory. I guess I was right that the faster I die the more likely town is to win, lmao.

It was fun for the day I was alive, and spectating was a wild ride. thanks for modding catboi
