i'm putting too much thought into the potential reasonings behind hood picks considering the first time i ran this scum went "lets just submit the playerlist in order"

i think town de70 would be more paranoid, not liking how he wrote me off as a town read just now. i think i'm more than capable of shitposting as scum, so townreading that overnight message feels like tmi rather than an actual read

do you have any examples that would illustrate this?

I also believe the scum in the smaller neighborhood's more likely Bingle, but if Ircher flips scum I'll take the pleasant surprise and chat to Bingle tonight.
rereading and saw this, it initially felt like tmi to me. but i kinda feel like this isn't necessarily a post that scum would make in twilight? considering ircher was flipping imminently, i feel like scum would be a lil more wary of dropping tmi in twilight. at least i would be. idk.

it's interesting that light_ganski was talking about motivation behind intents, i must not have paid enough attention. rereading that is kinda solidifying de70 as scum in my mind; considering the wifom behind intents was already discussed, i find the act of townreading me off of a shitpost even more questionable now.
undead poet's second intention also comes across as too self-aware in the way that scum is self-aware; seemed like it's possible they were worried about their activity levels and wanted to preemptively address the potential criticism.
i'll sit on it bc right now i'm worried i'm just doing the confirmation bias thing.

this is also a kind of silly reach of logic... but in the back of my head i've been thinking about how the mafia have this thing called a private topic, right? and like 99% of the time, the mafia submit their actions in that private topic instead of via pm. this leads me to believe that if one wolf submitted an intention, the other would be a bit more likely to go "oh, right" and submit an intention as well. day one bingle and undead poet both submitted intentions. day three neither bingle nor dragon submitted.
day two kind of immediately disproves this line of thinking but maybe they became self-aware of it and decided to switch things up intentionally. idk just a thought, i feel like i'm running out of stuff to go off of.

the conclusion (or at least vibe) i got from light was essentially along the lines of "this is all just a bunch of wifom." light went back and forth on bingle and ranger so i don't think that light definitely was settled on "serious = scum." the fact that reading the intentions of the intentions is so wifom heavy is why i don't trust you magically townreading me for my intentions. your cakez read is also poorly reasoned. for me, you're probably trying the hardest in the game right now and yet your reasoning isn't holding up. and i think that you're pivoting onto me now instead of cakez bc i made it clear that my read between you two is pretty strong; this read shift feels like pure survivalism.

iirc in echo bay grits we won as scum because most of the town spent D1 vigging each other and playing it like a meme game whilst we scum spent our time acting serious and gratuitously scumreading the memers
that was like a decade ago ofc
would scum submit the ostensibly anti-town intents, or would they try to look
useful
by seeming to play the game and expecting at least some of the town to treat it as a meme game (or at least a relatively casual game? I know I recieved a town role pm and I also know I submitted a memey pretentious intent not because I was thinking of what could be most pro town, but because I wanted to fuck around and have fun with it)?

and to reverse the view, would only posting in lyrics from push upstairs be more likely to come from scum!bingle genuinely trying to play a strong anti town game, scum!bingle just playing this as a meme, or town!bingle just playing this as a meme

i feel like cakez is approaching this with a kind of more deflated angle and i townread that. you feel like you're playing harder to get townread than cakez is by a long shot
okay, then how did you arrive at that conclusion? there's a pretty big jump in reads between the following two posts, did anything ranger do change your read on her?

Bingle kinda feels like he's openwolfing. But I don't have a strong read on Ranger so it could also be her.

i will say i'm getting a vibe from ranger that she's trying to say stuff that i would want to hear if that makes sense ?? like vaguely pockety. but it could just be natural mind melding. but i'm not necessarily getting that vibe from bingle, but also his gimmick isn't conducive to spotting stuff like that lol

kinda flippy floppy on ranger vs bingle

i still can't shake the feeling that dragon was intentionally trying to tie himself to bingle yesterday. that was what i meant yesterday about associative wifom. like these two posts in particular seem kind of like a deliberate attempt to drop tmi that implicates bingle:
In post 426, DragonEater70 wrote:
But tbh I'll probably just vote Bingle anyway since it's a guaranteed scumflip.
i prob missed something, but why is your read on bingle/ranger so strong?
Uh I read the hammer as Bingle openwolfing
idk i'm prob overthinking rn. but the usage of the word "uh" is what's tripping me up. i feel like that kind of has the air of "oopsie" or hesitancy in a way that seems like it's coming from caught scum?? and the motivation for doing that would prob be something along the lines of trying to implicate bingle. i feel like if dragon was scum with bingle he'd be much more likely to try to have a better explanation for the sudden read strengthening. instead of just letting that weird moment go without a great explanation.

it probably would have been responsible of me to engage more, but i like ripping the bandaid off in elo sometimes. it's less painful to be wrong on a strongish instinct than it is to overthink myself out of that instinct lol

the flavor was amazing. gr8 modding!!!!!
this might be an unpopular opinion but i enjoyed how chill and low pressure this was, i didn't feel as bad for my laziness. i liked the prod rules.
the entire elo i was just thinkin about how embarassing it would be for a person to lose a game they designed. so i'm glad i didn't screw up lol. this was actually the first time i got to play this i think so it was kinda poetic to get to place the hammer.
self-indulgent anecdote time: i remember when i started getting active on this site again, i saw this setup being played and was like oh that seems cool. and then i saw my name as the setup designer and was like whatttttttt i don't remember that
realizing the neighborhood existed and then realizing my messages likely wouldnt be seen was such a funny turn of events tho
