Nope, one of the lynches we achieved showed Dwlee's flavor, and he was the first on the wagon, and the other said it was Kalista, but the first person on the wagon was Random.

I love how everyone is actually coming out of the woodwork just now after lurking out for days.
It's far too many to all be scum, but c'mon guys. I'm not part of the town, but even I can spot that this isn't healthy for town. You may want to work on that tomorrow.

Blue team arrives at the enemy base to make their final push.

Using their numbers to their advantage, ɀefiend runs behind the towers and proxy farms all three waves of minions. Red team is unable to catch him or force him out, funneling him tons of experience.
In doing so, he pushes all of the waves and brings Blue Team right to the enemy base. ɀefiend is Singed, the Mad Chemist, aligned with the Blue Team. He is an Informer.

Spoiler: Singed
My deadliest dose shall bear my patron's name!

Singed descended from a long line of Zaun's revered chemists. Even in his youth, his talent for concocting potions far outstripped that of his peers, and he quickly distinguished himself from his less extraordinary chemist compatriots. It came as no surprise to anyone when he was selected for apprenticeship by the infamous Warwick, master apothecary on a lucrative retainer with the Noxian military during their campaign against Ionia. Within Warwick's laboratories, Singed toiled without end, rapidly absorbing every detail of his predecessor's deadly craft. Singed had little concern for the death and destruction that was the fruit of his labors. By the time the curse of lycanthropy descended to claim his master, Singed was poised and eager to make the transition from workhorse to innovator; he was ready to share his genius by bringing a new brand of suffering to the Ionian front. His zeal for progress was unquenchable, and when suitable test subjects proved to be in short supply, the eager chemist was often thought to turn his volatile mixtures on his own flesh.

When the uneasy peace created by the League of Legends settled on the world, Singed journeyed to the one place where he was still able to showcase his beloved craft: the Institute of War. By this time he was barely even a man, his body both ruined and sustained by his ingenious craft. A thousand burns – accidents of shadow and flame – mark his ravaged form, and exposure to such harsh conditions has deadened his nerves, hardened his body, and strengthened his physique, transforming him into a veritable juggernaut. This, combined with a formidable arsenal of deadly concoctions, make Singed a force to be reckoned with on the Fields of Justice.

Welcome to the Rift, Hiplop. You are Singed, the Mad Chemist, aligned with the Blue Team. You are an Informer. You will gain a new Role PM if you gain additional abilities.

Poison Trail (Informer): Any player who targets you or is affected by one of your abilities will be informed that they inhaled the poisonous gas you left behind.

Upon reaching Level 2, you will gain the following ability.

Mega Adhesive (Point Targeted Delayer): Any person who targets your target with an action that resolves during night will be slowed by the sticky adhesive and have their night action delayed, causing it to instead resolve during the day. This will not affect your target.

Upon reaching Level 4, you may choose between the following abilities.

Fling (1-Way Bus Driver): A player whom you target can be flung in front of another player you target, causing all actions that would target the latter to target the former.
Insanity Potion (1-Shot Activated Deathproof): Once per game, you may activate Insanity Potion, which will toughen you up and give you a 1-Shot deathproof through the night and the full day.

You are aligned with the Blue Team and win when all threats to it are removed.

Coming up through the bottom lane comes Randomidget. He activates his ult to clear the remaining minions and dashes forward to get to the tower, quickly destroying it.
Blue Team's ADC had arrived to the fray at last. Randomidget is Lucian, the Purifier, aligned with the Blue Team. He is an Informed Conditional Vote Changer.

Spoiler: Lucian
You have gained a level! This is your new Role PM.

Be grateful. By slaying you now, I spare you an eternity of torment.

Image

Welcome to the Rift, Randomidget! You are Lucian, the Purifier, aligned with the Blue Team.
You are Level 2.
You are an Informed Conditional Vote Changer.
You will gain a new role PM if you gain additional abilities.

Mortal Enemies (Informed): You are aware that a player is Thresh and is aligned with the Red Team. He is aware that you exist and are aligned with the Blue Team. This ability will flip on death unstoppably.
Lightslinger (Conditional Vote Changer): After gaining a result from an ability, if you vote the player the following day the text will be coloured in votecounts.

Upon reaching level 3 you will gain the following ability:

Ardent Blaze (Modified Point-Targeted Watcher): You may choose two sets of two players and light the paths between them to see if either of them target the other. For example, if you chose A <-> B and C <-> D you would know if A visited B, but not if A visited C or D.

Upon reaching level 6 you will gain the following ability:

Piercing Light: (Unstoppable 1-Shot Parity Cop): You may pierce two player's hearts with light and learn their true leanings. You will investigate two players and get an Aligned / Not Aligned result.
If it fails to resolve on one of the targets due to untargetability you will instead get a Blue Team / Not Blue Team result on the player you successfully targeted.

You are aligned with the Blue Team and win when all threats to it are removed.

Lycanfire continued to abuse his mobility as he joined Blue Team's push and cleared out the top and middle inhibitors.
Sadly unable to find his soulbound, he was unable to take advantage of any of his abilities. He is Championship Kalista, the Spear of Vengeance, aligned with the Blue Team.
He is a Soulbound Modified Conditional Flavor Cop Global Modified Cop Modified Reflexive Delayer Double Dayizer.

Spoiler: Championship Kalista
When wronged, we seek justice. When hurt, we strike back. When betrayed, the Spear of Vengeance strikes!

Image

Welcome to the Rift, Lycanfire! You are Championship Kalista, the Spear of Vengeance, aligned with the Blue Team.
You are Level 4.
You are a Soulbound Modified Conditional Flavor Cop Global Modified Cop Modified Reflexive Delayer Double Dayizer.

Oathsworn (Soulbound): Oathsword (Soulbound): You have access to a neighbourhood with The_Jester which will persist after either of you have died.
Sentinel (Modified Conditional Flavor Cop): If both you and your soulbound player target a person, you will learn their flavour and level.
Rend (Global Modified Cop): You may target one player for Rend each night, who will become afflicted with spears. Every player they visit or who visits them will also become afflicted with spears. You may reactivate this ability during any future day to find out who is afflicted with spears.
Fate's Call (Modified Reflexive Delayer Double Day) Ability must be activated during twilight. Both you and your soulbound will be placed into stasis for the following night, preventing them from engaging in night actions and delaying all night actions on you to resolve until the next day's twilight. You will still be able to play the game as normal. In place of twilight farm, both of you may agree on a second player to be lynched. If you are unable to agree or choose to end the ability, a vote for farm will instead occur during twilight.

You are aligned with the Blue Team and win when all threats to it are removed.

As Basic moves into the enemy base, she is immediately beset upon by its final defender, Ahri. However, with quick reflexes she drops Tibbers on her, stunning her.
This locks her down and the rest of the team quickly jumps onto her. Basic was Annie, the Dark Child, aligned with the Blue Team. She was a 1-Shot Roleblocker.

Spoiler: Annie
Annie may be one of the most powerful champions ever to have fought in a Field of Justice. I shudder to think of her capabilities when she becomes an adult.

There have always been those within Noxus who did not agree with the evils perpetrated by the Noxian High Command. The High Command had just put down a coup attempt from the self-proclaimed Crown Prince Raschallion, and a crack down on any form of dissent against the new government was underway. These political and social outcasts, known as the Grey Order, sought to leave their neighbors in peace as they pursued dark arcane knowledge.

The leaders of this outcast society were a married couple: Gregori Hastur, the Grey Warlock, and his wife Amoline, the Shadow Witch. Together they led an exodus of magicians and other intelligentsia from Noxus, resettling their followers beyond the Great Barrier to the northern reaches of the unforgiving Voodoo Lands. Though survival was a challenge at times, the Grey Order's colony managed to thrive in a land where so many others would have failed.

Years after the exodus, Gregori and Amoline had a child: Annie Annie. Early on, Annie's parents knew there was something special about their daughter. At the age of two, Annie miraculously ensorceled a shadow bear - a ferocious denizen of the petrified forests outside the colony - turning it into her pet. To this day she keeps her bear Tibbers by her side, often keeping him spellbound as a stuffed doll to be carried like a child's toy. The combination of Annie's lineage and the dark magic of her birthplace have given this little girl tremendous arcane power.

Image

Welcome to the Rift, Yume! You are Annie, the Dark Child, aligned with the Blue Team. You are a 1-Shot Roleblocker. You will gain a new role PM if you gain additional abilities.

Pyromaniac (1-Shot Roleblock): Once per game you may stun a player.

Upon reaching Level 3, you may choose from the following abilities.

Disintegrate (Early Game Conditional Refilling 1-Shot Doublevote): Once per game you may apply a second vote to a player. If this is used to hammer a vote, you will obtain the kill and replenish the mana cost, refilling the ability. This will not function in late game.
Molten Shield (Activated 1-Shot Bomb): Once per game you may activate your Molten Shield, killing any player who targets you for a nightkill.

Upon reaching Level 5, you will gain the following ability.

Summon: Tibbers (Bodyguard Creator Conditional Doublevoter): Once per game, Annie may summon Tibbers, a fiery teddy bear bodyguard who compulsively protects her from harm. While he's alive, Annie gets two votes during the day. Tibbers is affected by Molten Shield.

You are aligned with the Blue Team and win when all threats to it are removed.

Reacting immediately, Lady LambdaDelta fires off an Aria of Perseverance, healing and protecting Annie. She comboes Hymn of Valor with Power Chord to help burst out the Ahri.
Finally, she comboes Crescendo with Tibbers to keep Ahri locked down as Antihero arrives to finish her off. She is Muse Sona, Maven of the Strings.
She is a Vote Giver Twilight Experience Giver Night 1 / Night 2 Bodyguard Requester Doctor.

Spoiler: Muse Sona
Her melody moves the soul, her silence sunders the body.

Image

Welcome to the Rift, LadyLambdadelta! You are Muse Sona, Maven of the Strings, aligned with the Blue Team.
You are Level 2.
You are a Vote Giver Twilight Experience Giver Night 1 / Night 2 Bodyguard Requester Doctor.
You will gain a new Role PM if you gain additional abilities.

Mute (Vote Giver): You are mute and not able to vote directly. However, you may give your vote during pregame and nights to another player who may vote in your stead. If your target dies you will be given the ability to change your target before the day starts. You may also choose not to allow your vote to be used at all, rendering you voteless.
Aura of Celerity (Twilight Experience Giver): During Twilight, you must choose a player to expedite their farming who at nightfall will gain a level.
Support (Night 1/2 Bodyguard Request): During nights 1 and 2 you may target a player. If you are targeted by a nightkill, they will be informed that you are Blue Team aligned and given the option of dying in your stead. This will not interfere with the completion of their night actions.
Aria of Perseverance (Doctor): Each night you may target a player and protect them from nightkills.

Upon reaching level 3, you will gain the following ability:

Power Chord (Odd Night Experience Boost Even Night Pacify): During odd nights you may target a player with this ability and grant them an additional level. During even nights you may target a player with this and prevent them from performing night kills. This can be performed concurrently with Aria of Perseverance.

You are aligned with the Blue Team and win when all threats to it are removed.

Leap striking in and counterstriking quickly, Antihero finishes the stun combo and activates his ult to finish his opponent off quickly.
He procs his passive and closes out the game with an empower-bonus auto combo. He is Jax, Grandmaster at Arms. He was a Modified Vote Changer.

Spoiler: Jax
Be advised - there has been an outbreak of lamppost-shaped bruises in the League of Legends.

It is seldom the case where a champion is defined by his actions after joining the League of Legends rather than before. Such is the case with Jax, for whom the argument could be made that he is the most prolific tournament fighter currently at the Institute of War.

Before joining the League, Jax was an unremarkable soldier-for-hire. For reasons known only to the former leader of the League, High Councilor Reginald Ashram, Jax was put on the top of the list of candidates to receive a League Judgment - the interview process that either accepts or rejects a prospective champion.

His Judgment was the quickest in League history, where the Doors of Acceptance glowed and slowly swung open as soon as it began. Jax faced no recorded Observation or Reflection during his Judgment.

Jax proved himself to be an immediate terror in the Fields of Justice. The self-proclaimed 'Armsmaster of the League' rattled off a streak of consecutive wins that to this day has not been matched.

A number of summoners in the League grew concerned that the perceived objectivity of the League of Legends would be questioned by the presence of an unknown fighter who was unbeatable.

For this reason, the new leader of the League (following Reginald Ashram's disappearance), High Councilor Heyward Relivash, created special restrictions for Jax to fight under.

This was something the League had never done before, and something which has never been done since. The burly fighter responded by imposing his own special conditions; as a means of protest, he permitted himself to fight using only a brass lamppost. Neither the League's sanctions nor his own has affected his winning ways.

The League has since rescinded its sanctions, but Jax has not; he fights and fights well with his trusty brass lamppost.

Image

Welcome to the Rift, HOHOHAHA. You are Jax, Grandmaster at Arms, aligned with the Blue Team. You are a Modified Vote Changer. You will gain a new role PM if you gain additional abilities.

Relentless Assault (Modified Vote Changer): If you ramp up your continued push on one player with consecutive posts with the closing line '(player name) is scum!' and are voting them, your vote text will get progressively larger. This stacks up to eight times.

Upon reaching Level 3, you will gain the following ability.

Leap Strike (Follower): Every night you may leap strike to a player, determining what sort of night action, if any, they performed.

Upon reaching Level 5, you will gain the following ability.

Counter Strike (1-Shot Bomb Unstoppable Commute): Once per game you may activate counterstrike and unstoppably commute and any players who target you for a nightkill will be (non-unstoppably) nightkilled.

You are aligned with the Blue Team and win when all threats to it are removed.

Ahri's game had gone from bad to worse, losing both of her teammates in botched ganks and missing her initiation onto Annie.
She valiantly attempted to defend the nexus but fell anyway. Postie was Popstar Ahri, the Nine-Tailed Fox, aligned with the Red Team. She was a Reflexive Janitor ???.
Since this is endgame, she will flip anyway.

Spoiler: Popstar Ahri
You have gained a level! This is your new Role PM.

Mercy is a human luxury... and responsibility.

Image

Welcome to the Rift, The_Jester! You are Popstar Ahri, the Nine-Tailed Fox, aligned with the Red Team.
You are Level 2.
You are a Soulbound Reflexive Janitor.
You will gain a new Role PM if you gain additional abilities.

Red Team (Mafia): You are aligned with the mafia and can perform the factional nightkill. In addition, you are able to talk with your team here.
Orb of Deception (Reflexive Janitor): You will flip with alignment but not abilities.
Oathsword (Soulbound): You have access to a neighbourhood with Lycanfire which will persist after either of you have died.

Upon reaching Level 3, you will gain the following ability.

Essence Theft (1-Shot Strongman Janitorizer Neighbourizer Reflexive Valuablizer): Once per game while performing the nightkill you may consume the targets soul, adding the strongman modifier to your kill. After their death, they will be added to a neighbourhood with you which they can continue to post in. You will gain the Valuable modifier, doubling your experience value on lynch.

Upon reaching Level 4, you may choose from the following abilities.

Spirit Rush (3-Shot Hider): Three times per game you may hide behind a player. You will die if you target a player that is currently capable of killing at night or is successfully nightkilled.
Charm (1-Shot Twilight Loverizer Neigbourizer): Once per game you may charm a player during twilight, making you lovers and granting you a PT.

You are aligned with the Red Team and win when all threats to you have been destroyed or nothing can prevent this from happening.

The combined forces of the blue team collapse on the unprotected nexus and destroy it, ending the game.
Mini 1819 ends in a Blue Team (Town) victory!
But meanwhile, worlds away...

In the jungle, Thor665 was farming away and trying to finish his build even as the game was ending. No game would be complete without sating that devourer and getting immensely fed.
Having failed to complete his true goal of farming the jungle, he has lost the game. He was Ironscale Shyvana, the half-dragon, aligned with himself.
He is a Valuable Reflexive Conditional Experience Giver Targeted Modified Valuableizer.
His win condition was to reach level 7 before the game had ended.

Spoiler: Ironscale Shyvana
I have proven my might to dragonkind—what challenge shall humans pose?

Image

Welcome to the Rift, KillTheStory. You are Ironscale Shyvana, the Half-Dragon, aligned with yourself.
You are level 2.
You are a Valuable Reflexive Conditional Experience Giver Targeted Modified Valuableizer.
You will gain a new Role PM if you gain additional abilities.

AFK Jungle (Third Party): Your team needs to STFU and stop feeding so you can farm to late game and carry. And by late game you mean you have no intention of leaving the jungle before the nexus falls. You are self aligned and win the game by reaching level 7.
Farmer (Reflexive Conditional Experience Giver): Any wagons that you are on will gain you a level, regardless of whether you are targeted for the experience gain. This can stack with Flame Breath.
Well Farmed (Valuable): You have been farming well in the jungle and upon death will be worth two levels of experience.
Flame Breath (Target Modified Valuableizer): Every night you may mark a player with flame breath. If they die that night or are lynched the next day, you will be credited and gain a level.

Upon reaching Level 4, you will gain the following ability.

Dragon's Descent (1-Shot Informed Bulletproof): When you are targeted for a nightkill, you will activate dragon form and survive it. You will be informed that your dragon form was activated.

You are aligned with the AFK Jungle Farmers (yourself) and win when you reach Level 7. You lose if you die or the game ends before this happens.

And avoiding the attention of both the blue and red teams as well as the renegade farming Shyvana, Shaziro wanders the tranquil river.
He is the Rift Scuttler, aligned with the Blue Team. He was a a Valuable Posthumous Global Public (Flavour) Tracker.

Spoiler: Rift Scutter
Vision control wins games...

Killing this large monster will summon a Speed Shrine on the river she is killed on for 75 seconds. In addition to providing the killer's team with bonus movement speed, it also grants them Sight icon sight of the surrounding area.

Image

Welcome to the Rift, Shaziro! You are the Rift Scuttler, aligned with the Blue Team. You are a Valuable Posthumous Global Public (Flavour) Tracker.

Jungle Minion (Valuable): You are a jungle monster often farmed for experience. You award two levels worth of it.
River Vision (Posthumous Global Public (Flavour) Tracker): After dying by any means, the speed shrine will become active giving the town vision of the river. All actions will be made public the next night, revealing of the names of every actor overnight. You may choose between flavor and player names when you die.

You are aligned with the Blue Team and win when all threats to it are removed.

First off, I'd like to apologize for certain aspects of the game. This game was highly experimental and I intentionally did things because I wanted to see how they'd play out in practice and learn from that and surprise! they played out badly. I will almost certainly never incorporate a 3rd party role like Shyvana nor a permanently voteless role like Sona in a future game given what I learned from watching this one play out.

Futhermore, the experience system just exponentially increases snowball. When town's doing well, experience goes to town and town gets PRs.
If scum snowballed, experience would likely be going to scum fairly often and scum would get PRs on top of that.

Because the game was such a slaughter by town we never really saw high level abilities play out but in order to make abilities that were worth the payout, there was some massive swing potential around ultimate abilities and even if Postie hadn't been lynched then town would have ended up with multiple ultimates the next day and I don't think there would be any way for lone scum to combat that snowball while not obtaining experience on their own. In that sense I still feel like this setup was relatively close to 50/50 balance from Day 1 but the way it played out was just incredibly oppressive for scum.

So TL;DR I think the setup did not work and if you agree with that I hope you still consider joining my future games, particularly 15p (tentatively named) Adventure Mafia which will be in queue shortly.

That said, fantastic job to town, especially after all the replacements.

I'd especially like to give a big thanks to all the replacements, particularly Thor who replaced into an essentially unwinnable scenario and still made a strong effort and also to Postie for replacing in when she did. I hope that you guys enjoyed playing the game more than I enjoyed watching it and just hating myself for how I designed it.
2019 stats: Town WR 76.7%, overall WR 81.667%, 1 scum defeat involving a major mod error in lylo vs 8 scum wins.

It's not even close to my least favorite game, though the swing was clearly very brutal on multiple fronts. Maybe there's some sort of balance to be found in awarding experience to the side that's losing? Though I'll admit the flavor gets a little wonky on that one, but...eh.

I will always happily argue that no 3rd parties should ever exist, but I'm apparently in a minority on that one ;)

@Anti - that all of your talk was apparently honest confuses me - but I'll happily avoid the hell out of you in the future. For the record, I wasn't trying to be dismissive, and would very strongly suggest you were the one playing dismissively of me. But that said, if questioning your reads in the way I did makes you want to puke and not answer me - yeah, it's best that we avoid each other as I'll assuredly do it again, as it's how I play the game

Some of the balance issues were from the amount of players obvtowning leading to easy action choices. I really enjoyed the game and thought it was well modded. Thanks RC! :)

This game was very fun, honestly! Also, RC, if you do run that I will be very confused, SirCakes ran a LArge Normal called Adventure Mafia, but I'd be glad to join yours. After all, I got to be a particularly rambunctious scuttlebug.

Good job, town! I had fun even if I ended up being completely useless. :(

Hiplop is banned from failtown now. I remember Pokemon. It's nice to see you work so hard :)
Mostly V/LA at weekends. GTKAS - Tere
I am also really too busy to play mafia to the quality level I prefer. I should spectate. If you see me in more than one game tell me off! Also invite me to cool games to spectate. I will bring cupcakes! <3
