FWIW, I'd say that this probably bled through your attitude in LYLO, where it seemed like you were intentionally not posting or doing anything because you figured I'd vote with you

I guess it's something you do as town too, but that's pretty fundamentally a scum attitude where you think you're winning so you don't really do things other than just respond to specific things that you want to respond to and the like, and I'd definitely suggest avoiding that going forward

All I was informed was he had a loudizer not he was going to use it.
In hindsight even before learning I blocked him and after deadline submission was presumably closed I regretted that action and it wasn't very smart.

meh, neither you nor von could have thrown this game alone

also it was pretty blindingly obvious that von still had his follow on n3, so maria not shooting him there was a bit throwing in any kind of logical world although bluntly she really didn't have reasonable options at that point

and redscum shooting the generically obvious target n1 (when von had claimed backup d1 [i.e. a watch was reasonably plausible there] and there was at least one claimed protective who said they'd protect there, and the strongman had major potential strategic value for later in the game) and then yolo'ing a desperado shot d2 (where even if it hits you're looking at an eliminated bluescum team and therefore fewer night kills on town which always squeezes you pretty hard) was really funny too

Like I felt completely and utterly sick about the result for about 24 hours, and now I realize the whole game was mainly just a farce and I still feel bad but am increasingly just moving mentally to "bemused about it all". Whereas I still feel kind of sick about biochem

Excerpted from my standard IC post (this was a quote from crunkus's mega list of things to keep in mind when you play):

25. Put thought into your night orders. As GM one thing is clear...a lot of people treat most night orders as after thoughts. As a player who is always town, I notice a lot of people are made to look worse than they need to be the next day because they didn't put much thought into their night orders. Think about all the variables that might be involved in your decision. You likely have days to think about it. It's okay to send the GM a message saying..."thinking, will respond probably tomorrow"

One of the reasons why towns continue to require ridiculous levels of power in order to be at all competitive is that oftentimes people put zero thought or effort into their night orders. Barring easy situations like being a cop or the like (where unless you die or your target dies, or you hit a claimed ascetic, then you by definition are getting something helpful even if your peek target is a poor one), effective night actions (for any alignment tbh) often require some level of thought.

bodyguard dies, but yuki doesn't die, but sylph sees taro visiting the same person bodyguard is almost always saving

makes game much more winnable for reds certainly, otoh taro probably venges titus there, so it's down to 1 scum on each team

probably if you get jailkept the same night you strongman you win, and probably if you don't manage that (unless beeboy dies n2) you don't.

The funny part is that I'm perfectly capable of VOTING correctly in LYLO, just not hammering correctly

Also amusing that Maria was complaining about my talking about my being town, at which point I sent to alisae via discord:

ftr, I'm 90% sure megumi is mariaR, and I'm like 90% sure that she's the only person here who's even SEEN me in a 1v1 fight in LYLO
also in said fight (where I kicked transcend's wolf ass up and down the thread) I had some "but I'm town" and a metric shit ton of "ok here's how he's a wolf, here's what he was going, here's why he was doing it" etc etc etc
and i feel like only someone who'd been involved in the game (thus aware of it) AND who'd been involved ina super cosuroy way (thus getting the essentials of it wrong) would ever have that take in the first place
I was also in a LYLO 1v1 with accountant in a newbie, but that was 3/2, and of course there ALSO I kicked his wolf ass up and down the thread, but loloopdan decided that hammering a villager was more fun
