Maybe I might /in for a game nice in a while on here and I kinda feel like I'm RC where I say "I'M RETIRING" when I come back a month later or something so take my words with a grain of salt (also Ginngie wants me to play in their game so I'm doing that for the memes ) but besides that I hate site meta thats mostly what my complaining is.

On MS people don't like mafia
on MU they do.
that's something that you don't think matters, but actually does

But the thing I like about MU is that people try, where as MS it just seems that no one cares.
Like there is probably some stuff that will work on MU that won't work on here when playing scum
but in general townplay is better because A. People obvtown themselves a lot more often B. People care about the game.

There are also some other small things I'm trying to impliment that I liked from MU are mostly Discord chats for like wolves and the dead PT. testing them here I'm convinced it was mostly a good addition considering Rask used the discord he was given when he was talking to Drixx (However one thing I noticed from both wolf teams is that they weren't talking as much and it was probably had to do with the fact that mostly all of the wolves were lurking in game). However the Discord for the Dead PT was an amazing addition and I have no regrets when it comes to adding that.

There are also ITAs but I haven't found a game to impliment that in yet, because they make games extremely fun (Basicly, ITAs are a session where everyone has about a 15% chance to dayvig someone, and they just make games go by a lot faster and are really enjoyable)

The Mafia Discords are a really good idea, I felt like an idiot for not thinking of it when I went on MU

Oh yeah I also stole Events/Minigames from their mashes in that game and people LOVED it (as well as coming up with my own events, and I am still coming up, looking for more)
I got told by multiple people they would join a game that had my Events/Minigames in just for the Events/Minigames.
As a mod the Events/Minigames were extremely entertaining to watch, and overall makes me a happy moderator to see the players enjoying myself and to be entertained by somethings that happen in them.

Eh, I checked it out and there seem to be a lot of little things I'm too used to to give up... how do you not go crazy with no dead list in a 60 player game jeez

think the dayvig thing is pretty dumb as well and it seems like restrictions on claims are prevalent. :S

Mods mark the death as an event and there's a little tool where you can see all of the events that happened.

I agree with you on mods not putting flips in their OPs though, its kinda tilting. However I just remember them and use the above to help me out if needed.

Here is how I see it
MU - Moderation wise it could be a lot better, but the play is way more preferable there.
MS - Hate the play, but we have amazing games that are moderated like this one, and like any Varsoon game (or my own since I'm still modding on here)

Hmm...

I’d say that the biggest meta difference between ms and MU is that in MU people like villaging more (and are erleatively better at it)and on ms people like wolfing more (and are relatively better at it).

I think on ms you see a LOT of people put in essentially zero effort as town and/or gamethrow in the most ridiculously blatant ways imaginable. Otoh on MU you see a lot of thread spamming, and you see a tendency for people to sometimes just kind of give up when they’re in a tight spot as wolves.

One intersting consequence of all that is that site balance standards are VERY different between the two sites. For instance, I just finished a semi open 13/4 matrix game where town power was a cop (no n0 check) and a doc, and wolf power was a Roleblocker and a ninja (basically named goon in that row of matrix12)... and that balance level is pretty ok for a 13/4 over there, whereas here you’d almost need a 2 man masonry on top of that to be fair in a semiopen format.

Fwiw I’ve tnded to enjoy my town games over there more than here, but wolfing has been far more split (I’ve had fun and unfun games as wolf on each site). Nit sure how much that helps but that’s my off the cuff notes.

Wrt moderation, you get “threadmarks” that are easily accessible as long as people link correctly... but in really large games it’d be nice if hosts put flips posted out as well.

Otoh vote counts are automatic which is a godsend.

Setup wise... most games run there are automatic, and in general people just don’t go super creative. You CAN... but in general you don’t really see it in the same way as here. Though mashes are creative and fun but in different ways,
