Rules

GENERAL RULES

1. Follow all site rules.
2. Play to win. Try and fufill your win condition.
3. Don't utilize outside communication to discuss this game.
4. Do not personally attack people to an excessive degree.
5. Don't quote, misquote, or pretend to quote private communications from the moderator. You may paraphrase. Specifically do not reference the time stamp on your or anyone else's role PM.
6. Don't use encryption, tiny/hidden/unreadable text, or anything that could be easily confused for such.
7. Do not pretend to break a rule; that is the same as breaking them.
8. No abusing loopholes.

Other rules:

1. Days begin with a deadline of 8 days.
2. Days end when one of the following events occurs:
-The deadline is reached.
-A player is lynched.
-A town-aligned player is modkilled.
3. If it looks like a vote, I will probably count it as a vote.
4. Votes can’t be in spoilers or quotes.
5. Nights will last 48 hours or until every living player gives me permission to end the night early.
6. There is no night posting in the game thread.
7. Unless otherwise specified, use of night abilities is optional, and if no action is submitted no action will occur.
8. You can submit night actions in your factional topic, if they should exist, as long as it is bolded and easily identifiable.
9. No “bah” posts.

ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS

1. Once the game begins, all players must post within 48 hours or a replacement will be sought.
2. Players who do not post for 48 hours in a single game-day will incur a prod.
3. Players who do not post for 24 hours following a prod will be replaced.

4. Players who incur two prods will be replaced.

5. At my discretion, excessive prod-dodging may result in a mod warning and subsequently in disregard of future dodges.
6. If for any reason you are temporarily unable to meet these requirements, you may declare V/LA status in thread and be excused. V/LA declarations must include a definite end date.
7. Notwithstanding V/LA status, any player who does not post at all for four days will be replaced.

Mechanics for this game, and in thread attacks rules

1. Mafia have daychat.
2. You can vote for “no lynch”.
3. This setup is confirmed 10 town versus 3 mafia, with no roles besides in thread attack related ones.
4. Every player has a base 15% chance to hit and and base 1 in thread attack per game day. To use it, Bold and Red a person's name at any point during the gameday. At 12:30 PM and 8:30 PM EST, the mods will lock the thread and resolve all your shots in the order they were taken before that point. We will quote the shot and say if it hits or misses. If it hits, the person will be killed and their role revealed.
5. If you shoot someone who has already been killed, you don't lose your shot. If you are killed BEFORE you get your shot off, you don't get to use it. So say A shoots B and then B shoots C; if the shot on A hits B in the resolve period, B's shot will not go through.
6. If you shoot someone, you can't change it. Also, if it LOOKS like you are shooting someone (ie it LOOKS bold and red), it counts as shooting them.
7. If a game day STARTS in LyLo (lynch or lose for town), then it will be ANNOUCED and there will be no in thread attacks for that day
8. ROLECARDS DO NOT HAVE WIN CONDITIONS. The win conditions as as follows:

Town: You win when all mafia are dead.
Mafia: You win when you reach parity with town or nothing can stop this from happening.

in addition, rolecards may have different wording, just to prevent rolecard gaming
