• ONE: FUNDAMENTALS
  • All site-wide rules apply. Read and respect them.
    
  • There is no personal communication outside the forum postings (regarding this game) unless your role specifically allows it.
    
  • Do not quote your Role PM or any private communication (either real or fabricated) with the moderator, co-moderator, backup-moderator, or fellow players. Paraphrasing your Role PM is acceptable.
    
  • Be courteous and respectful to all your fellow players and the moderating team.
    
  • Play to your Win Condition.
• TWO: DAY PHASE
  • Each Day Phase shall have a 8 days deadline.
    
  • All challenges must be in
    BOLD
    , or they shall not count.
    
  • Votes must be
    bolded
    or they shall not be counted. Abbreviating someone's name is acceptable, so long as I can discern who you were voting for without trouble.
    
  • Unvoting is not required, but is much appreciated by the mods. If you control more than one vote, Unvoting will unvote all of your votes, unless you specify which vote you unvote.
    
  • Once you have reached a simple majority (half of all living players plus one) that person's fate is sealed and they shall be lynched. Unvoting cannot change their fate.
    
  • If half the living players approve a No Lynch (

    ), then no player shall be lynched and the game shall enter Night Phase. If deadline is reached and no one has received a simple majority of the votes, no one shall be lynched.
    
  • Once a player is lynched the game enters twilight until I arrive and post a death scene. All players may continue to post during Twilight.
    
  • Please post at least once every four days. If you fail to do so, you will be replaced.
    
  • A deadline extension may or may not be granted; just ask.
    
  • Votes and Unvotes shall not count in Twilight.
• THREE: NIGHT PHASE
  • Night Phase shall last two days.
    
  • All groups with Private Topics (PTs) will be able to converse during the Night Phase.
    
  • Any role or faction with night abilities may choose to use them by PM-ing the mod with their choice.
    
  • If no action is received, no action will be taken. All actions received after the deadline has passed will not be valid.

There’s no reason to claim until endgame. The one town gun is basically a named townie. They should claim if run up.

I mean, I think the mafia have very little incentive to take rose, so I think the proper prior probability for gun claims is 2 out of 3 chance to be mafia. And on D1 especially I don't want to give them a chance to shoot.

Hmm, and writing this out now makes me think that maybe we do want to force town gun to claim now (but not which night). If we get one with no cc's it's a confirmed town and if we get a cc we get a 1 in 2 mafia which is a neat deal. But if the claim only happens when strung up then the info becomes effectively worthless. So I'm on team Gun-claim-now. That track for everyone else?

that has a lot of knock-on negatives, though. there are twice as many mafia as town guns, so even if pressure is allocated totally randomly (and I mean, the whole point of playing the game is that we're hoping to be more accurate than that), we're more likely to hit the mafia than the gun. at which point they can 100% get the gun to claim anyway if they want, and then we didn't have the conf town voice throughout the day. Also shoot testing has non-definitive negatives cause there are 8-10 roses.

It does kind of stink that the mafia learn the one person who is safe to shoot, yeah, but the only way we avoid that is by only running up town today and tbh I feel like killing mafia instead.

Anyway what I meant by this is that we have one gunner and that person is a more or less named townie. Obviously the issue is that if you claim that the other 8 roses become obvious to scum but the question you have to ask is "what are the scenarios where scum can kill all the roses... and NOT the one gunner.... and not win automatically?"

And I can't think of one. I literally can't think of one.

So I think the gun should claim ON THE DAY they shoot to be a named townie that day and shoot that night.

And no rose should ever ever ever claim their night they are safe. Ever.

and even then town vigs are negative EV sooooooooooooooooooo
