Everyone else received the VT PM in the OP.

To clear up what happened around gamma and the worst, which all the dead players are aware of. I wanted to make the role blocker a little more powerful in this setup because scum was underpowered and because I wanted it to always be a counter to the cult. So pregame I decided on a set resolution order which had RB always resolve first. I stand by that, and I think that role was necessary for the game to function correctly.

However, what I do not stand by and what I would like to apologize for in this game is that I did not give town any way to figure that out. I'm all for subverting expectations and challenging assumptions about what a balanced mafia game looks like, but I always want to give my players the tools to figure it out. That was not here with this resolution change. I had meant to include something in the rules about how non-NAR resolution is possible, but it completely slipped my mind, and ended up having a way more outsized impact on the game than it should be. I am sorry for that. It was an oversight and my fuck up through and through.

The problem with that is set NAR is only to resolve conflicting actions.

Since the roleblock did not interfere with the role stop, usually this would count as the roleblocker action being stopped.

"If only one of the actions affects another, resolve that one first, regardless of the positions on the list."
This applies for normal NAR at least.

Overall it's fine because it just equates to a strong willed roleblocker in all but name, which did not actually matter during gameplay.

I...know this? I was explicitly stating I did not use NAR.
Alright I must've misread, I thoguht you we're using NAR in a different order.

Point still stands that it didn't affect gameplay in all but name so the only one that really ended up slighted was Mafia not neccasarily having the knowledge the roleblock resolved first.

I mean I think gamma and the worst thing could potentially end very differently if there had been any clue that maybe night action resolution wasn't completely bog standard.

that said, town still won so yeah I guess you're right.

I did find it amusing that all of yesterday town was hyperfocused on being in kingmaker because they were assuming two mafia and desperately trying to come up with a winning game plan when the winning game plan was actually just lim the two literal claimed scum.

If you assume NAR it just ended up being that Murdercat was a roleblocker with a hidden strong willed modifier. Not really bad and nothing changes from a town POV.

I at least considered the possibilty of a strong willed roleblocker but decided it was unlikely.
Probably a bad assumption considering roleblocker + parity cop is an extremely OP FTC setup. Assuming scum had a bypass should have been default.

I think it would be pretty insane to have three mafia in this setup but I understand that not having the context of the night action resolution it was logical for town to think that there were likely two scum PRs.
