You're only thinking about 3 person LyLo here. In 5 person Lylo it's entirely possible that two townies would scumread each other and there wouldn't be any Mafia 1v1 in the first place. So yes, I really think it does make a difference.

I guess that it is a bit different since if it's mod announced, the 1v1 will be between two players that supposedly were not marked, and if claimed the 1v1 will be between two players that were supposedly marked. But I don't know if it's worth needing to wait for a claim with 10 or 15 minutes deadline just for that detail. Wagons need a lot of momentum to happen in marathon.

If there ever is a counterclaim, we don't even have much time for a decent 1v1 opposed to how much time we have in non-marathon games to discuss and read ISOs.

it's not a huge deal to me the difference in a marathon game like this, but i don't see how "needing" to wait for a claim is necessarily a bad thing. i think it could add to the game, potentially trying to see if someone already knows who's marked.

I don't think that in 5p LyLo mafia counterclaims the marked though. I think there is more to lose than to gain by counter claiming the marked there in most cases.

There are exceptions of course
