I think I can bear the bear for awhile.
I’m allergic to single posts that point away from someone. But I do think that the incredulity doesn’t make sense if they’re partners, even if the wording Pooky used is difficult for me to parse. I still can’t really tell if the purpose of the point is to mock TL into voting me because of course Bell would try to kill me after outting him or he’s pointing out that TL’s perspective is dumb and they should change their position that’s the primary topic. Or if they’re saying TL’s perspective itself is weird given they’re saying I was outed scum but they could only be assed to vote outed scum right then for daring to vote town.
I think due to the ordering it’s probably more about TL than me. But Pooky was fairly single minded.

I already full claimed but it sounds like someone has to look at their role and figure out if their gift giving is a factional ability.
Or something else, I’m moderately confused I guess the ability itself may have some sort of resistance to that kind of thing. Balance reasons maybe. Don’t see why laplace would lie about it.

Genuine question, why did TLO decide to watch Hu Tao when they weren’t likely to be targeted by scum roles?
I took your advice and asked why I'm being scumread and no one answered of course
I feel like you should probably already know this but if you ask a general question to a group nobody is going to answer it. you have to go out and shakedown each person individually
The question itself was more of a general placement question, most players had you somewhere in the middle or lower part of your reads, I don’t recall anyone town binning you, you say specifically that people tend to scum read you and night check you as either alignment. I may be putting words in your mouth there.

I thought Drew was quasi-conftown’d but if all of triple parity went into Bell instead, my solve atm is Hu Tao, Drew, and light.
This may very well be the most milquetoast read list I have ever seen.

I thought it looked pretty performative, you were all like “oh no! Did I mess up by giving away that adding novice to the role could make them seem townier and then they took advantage?”
Being totally silent and not saying anything probably would have been the more natural post.

I agree that hu’s reaction was very different than what I was expecting. I don’t really understand the town angle to “I’m going to be removed from the game for something not in my power, this is bullshit” when there’s so much other shit to worry about and solve for.

But it’s one piece of many.
We call this “caught for the wrong reason”
I know, but like, two people said the same thing about me. The only difference here is that I tried to engage with the reasoning and hu Tao just said it was unfair.

They are taking the criticism to heart and changing tack, but in the words of the insufferable, “heh, they must be scum because of course they would change their behavior after being shaded, that’s what scum does!”
And to that I say,
I’m not insufferable. So I won’t say that.

Maria is absolutely not the play today. Her claim of self resolving absolutely fits her swagger in the thread and all I want to know is how long the self resolve needs. Giving it two or three cycles in a game this large and with the kind of poe and clear set we have is by no means not doable.

I would like the gun check player and the player that was gun checked to explain more. About why they were checked, what they think about the check who they think is and isn’t scum with reasoning etc.
In a game like this it’s a little tricky who is going to show up with a gun. But I think the information would be valuable to solving and getting another scum kill.
Assuming the explanations don’t check out, which they might.

My Dunn townread basically boils down to “I don’t think scum Dunn clear Maria like that with beeboy flake”
I know your wording is nuanced to include how Dunn tried to clear Maria through Beeboy.
But I’ll counter the argument with the following.
1. I would be pretty surprised if Dunstral was trying to make a persuasive argument with their angle. It seems near supplementary rather than something more.

I need to think more. ISO’d the first half of Dunn. I’m not sure they would be so fixated on a few players this game if they were town but their general positioning and the whole tower that Pooky and Dunn have built around RT’s mistake is both somehow massive and I missed it anyways. It points away from both of them, even though,I’m not deeply convinced of it.
I think I should probably just start focusing on the unfamiliar rather than the familiar.

I don’t really engage with moral arguments. So, it’s neither good nor bad and it’s simply based on what someone values in a game.
In this case I was just saying the reasoning was incorrect.
I don’t see it anywhere, did the player that got gunsmith’d give a more detailed explanation of themselves and their role?
I think they should reveal which role(s)held the gun and they can keep the other two abilities to the themselves if they want.

I know I should be giving the momentum to Hu Tao and I feel like shit if Hu Tao is scum here because they’ve been sort of embarrassing themselves in the last 24 hours.
But I’m still leaning Hu Tao scum.
That said, I really think we ought to be careful, and just because HST comes off as more natural, well, awkward people can be town too.
Even if Hu Tao feels kind of gangly.
