Coasting? I am posting thoughts just like everyone else. What bothers me and prevents me from voting is what WC said. It is more likely that you are scum fabricating cult paranoia then for their to be an actual cult. Between your claims with Nexus and Amrun, we have:

*Doctor
*Role Cop
*Alarmist (Shrink)

I am 99% confident that we have scum/anti-town between Amrun/Grey with Nexus being more of a 50/50. I want Amrun dead first then Cop to check you Grey but assuming you are gambling scum, whats to stop you from killing Nexus? But if we lynch you first, then that leaves Nexus/Amrun alive who have a fair chance of being cult, assuming you aren't lying.

TBH... I am stumped as to the best lynch for today. I guess it would be better to go for possible cult over scum as cult get stronger as the game goes on............

Hugely scummy post. Like, bells and whistles, makes me want to pull up on Amrun scummy post. But I'm feeling confident on Amrun being cult/scum, so I'm going to let this go. However, I now have a huge suspicion that DeathNote just "set up" his next plays with this post. This sounds almost exactly like "Amrun might be third party scum, but I know he isn't on my scum team and let me set up so if Amrun flips town I can immediately focus on two more lynches."

No, that isn't what makes it look scummy. What makes it look scummy is you voting for Amrun, and then immediately saying "Well if this doesn't work, its obviously not my fault, its X and Y." I stand behind what I'm saying and doing, you are already looking for someone else to blame.

That was me... and there was no 'defense'.

It's an observation... one that could go either way.
A thinking player would wonder "why doesn't Amrun's flavor match?"
Amrun is not dumb. If she's gonna fake a claim... its gonna make sense.. one way or another. So maybe that has something to do with it. Maybe she saw that bit of flavor and tried to adopt it? Maybe she is some sort of modified doc that protects against certain things that, flavor-wise, entail 'leaving the university'. Or maybe she is am evil moneylender and just desperately tried to cram "doctor" onto it as a last-dotch scumplay.

Its called thinking about things.

Also...now that you post it, grey... look at the heading of your quote: "expelled". Maybe that's where she got it?

Seriously? You just said it yourself. I'm not dumb. I wouldn't make a claim that stuck out so much if it wasn't my actual claim. If that were my fakeclaim, I wouldn't even have made THAT. I would have come up with a different one on my own.

It is OBVIOUSLY just a flavor justification for needing a doctor in the game. There's nothing wrong with it, except that it stands out.

I regret claiming doctor, I guess, but in my mind the alternative was lying to claim vanilla, and that seemed even less smart.

Up until the claim, no, the votes on me were not justified. They were either very stupid, very scummy, or lazy, passive votes because I wasn't posting much until recently (trying to lay low, being a doctor). And if you'll recall, I accidentally claimed before I was at L-1, so I wasn't even run up first. Almost every vote is talking about the flavor and/or the claim. Some claim that I'm scummy otherwise but haven't actually talked about why at all or if they have it's so stupid it makes my brain hurt. (The exception to this, is, I think, Nexus. I've understood where he's coming from pretty clearly. He's probably town.) Since then, I understand some of the votes because I have mentally checked out of the game due to its exceeding stupidity but mostly because of real life.

The only defense here is a good scum case on someone else, and unfortunately, I just don't have that. I shared my entire thoughts on the game. Nothing has really changed. Since then, Leiskrye has continued to seem scummy to me. That's about it. I am not really used to lacking scum suspects; that's rare, for me.

Still, I am pretty confident that DeathNote and MattP are town. My Nexus townread has bumped up as well. The rest of my reads, as stated before, I'm also fairly confident in, but not to the level of the ones preceding.

Chapter 2: Hopeless

Amrun found herself in front of the Masters, just as Fela had before. One of them was speaking, and her mind snapped back to focus as her name was called. She glanced up and saw the Chancellor staring down at her.

"Amrun, do you understand the charges against you. If found guilty, you will be expelled from the University. Malfeasance is a serious crime."

Amrun swallowed and nodded.

"You may plead your case."

Hesitating, she looked for friendly faces above and found a pair of encouraging eyes twinkling from behind a Master's guild. Steeling herself, she laid out her case for the Masters. After she finished, she waited nervously for the vote to begin. Then, a voice spoke from the side of the room where she'd caught a glance earlier.

"I don't believe this is necessary, colleagues. I would stake my reputation that she is not responsible for this malfeasance. I move to lessen the punishment to public flogging at daybreak."

Murmurs came from the gathered Masters, but the Chancellor silenced them.

"Very well. All in favor of reducing Amrun's punishment to public flogging?"

The first Master's hand went up, followed shortly by two more. Finally another two Masters joined the rest and the matter was settled.

Amrun wasn't leaving this University just yet.
