Rules

You are fully responsible for understanding and following these rules. Failure to read is not a defense.

None of these rules superseded or contradict the Forum Rules and Guidelines, all of which are in full force.

GENERAL RULES

• Don't be a dick. It's ok to have one, it is not ok to be one. If you are proving toxic to the game, you may be force replaced and reported to the appropriate list moderator.
  
• Purple (#800080)
  is my color. Avoid using it. Multicolored read lists and possibly some other special cases are fine. Use common sense.
  
• You have 48 hours from the time the game fills to send me your flavor picks. Failure to do so and I will pick for you.
  
• Play to win. Specifically, play to win
  this game,
  not to build yourself a meta for some other game.
  
• Don't discuss the game outside of the game until I say it's over.
  
• Don't flame. Don't harass. Don't use insults that target minority or disadvantaged classes. Attack the slot, not the person.
  
• If you have a personal problem with another player, deal with it privately or, if necessary, bring it to me or a site mod.
  
• Don't quote, misquote, or pretend to quote private communications from the moderator. You may paraphrase. Specifically do not reference the time stamp on your or anyone else's role PM.
  
• Players may not post in the game thread content from the private thread even if it is their own. You must paraphrase!
  
  
• Don't use encryption, tiny/hidden/unreadable text, or anything that could be easily confused for such.
  
• Don't game the rules, pretend to break the rules, or test my limits. I have no patience for this behavior. If you have a question about what is acceptable, ask.
  
• My decisions are final; don't argue them in the game thread. If you take issue with my moderation, PM me.

VOTING, ABILITIES, AND DEADLINES

(For specifics, read the setup details in the following post.)

Day

• Days begin with a deadline of
  14 days
  .
  
• Days end when one of the following events occurs:
  • The deadline is reached.
    
  • A player is lynched.
    
  • A town-aligned player is modkilled.
• Votes should be made via the vote tag: "[vote]<playername>[/vote]" or "[v]<playername>[/v]". Full player names or initial segments thereof are preferred.
  
  
• I will interpret malformed votes according to my own discretion. In general, if it looks like a vote, I will probably count it as a vote. I may edit malformed votes for easier counting; if so, I will make it clear that I have done this.
  
  
• When a majority has been achieved but not yet processed by the moderator, the game is in
  twilight.
  Players, including the lynchee, may continue to post during this period.
  
  
• Under certain circumstances I may elect to extend the deadline. I will announce this in thread if it occurs.

Night

• Nights (when they occur) will last
  48 hours
  or until every living player gives me permission to end the night early.
  
• During the night, you should be unable to post in the public game thread. If for some reason you are able, doing so is still against the rules. This rule is suspended if/when there is night talk.
  
• Unless otherwise specified, use of night abilities is optional, and if no action is submitted no action will occur.

Setup Information

• This setup is mod confirmed to be 12 town vs 4 mafia. The 17th player's alignment may be town, scum, or third party.
  
• This is a uPick and as such, all flavor is NAI and character flavor is NAI
  
• Most if not all players have a "Character Special Ability" please see below for more info.
  
• There is a special mechanic in game known as the Divine Council and the Pantheon. See below for more info.
  
• Finally, players are allowed a last will. This is a final post made out before your death and published to all upon your flip. This can contain anything you want as long as it isn't breaking any other rules. You cannot make this will after your death is announced.

Pantheon

• The pantheon is a neighborhood of players whose flavors are similar. For example, Zeus, Neptune, and Poseidon are all Greco-Roman gods. Therefore they will share a neighborhood where they can talk day or night.
  
• Each night a different pantheon will be in power. The order has been determined at the beginning of the game and will not be made public. Being in a pantheon in power will enable most players to perform their abilities.

Divine Council

• The Divine Council is a neighborhood of players that is chosen by the Chief god
  
• The Chief god is voted by town at each day.
  
• A plurality is needed on Day 1 with a majority needed on following days to replace the leader
  
• The leader picks the crew after lynch before night begins.
  
• The meeting can change night to night.
  
• The meeting may have various abilities.
  
• The meeting is limited to a maximum of thirty percent of ALIVE players.
  
• To vote for the chief god, please use the HURT: tag.

ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS

• Once the game begins, all players must post within
  24 hours
  or a replacement will be sought.
  
• Players who do not post for
  48 hours
  in a single game-day will incur a prod.
  
• Players who do not post for
  24 hours
  following a prod will be replaced.
  
• Players who incur three prods will be replaced.
  
• At my discretion, excessive prod-dodging may result in a mod warning and subsequently in disregard of future dodges.
  
• If for any reason you are temporarily unable to meet these requirements, you may declare V/LA status
  in thread
  and be excused. V/LA declarations must include a definite end date.
  
• If you anticipate that you will have difficulty meeting these requirements, consider voluntarily replacing out.
  
• These are minimal requirements, not recommendations; please keep the game active.
