Then, the way I see it, there are two different ways to use my flavour track, and both are worth considering:

Option 1 - I target

town's general consensus

vote system if they prefer) on a player for me to target. This helps make sure that I am always on high priority targets (and ideally somebody who visits), but opens up the possibility of my target being roleblocked, and in extension me receiving no result.

Option 2 - I target whoever I want. This means that I also indicate who I targetted in my crier report, and more importantly means I can effectively

track the mafia kill

. If I receive the same flavour as a

player who died

I will know that my target targetted them and that they died.

There's been a lot of speculation on the weight of mafia fake claims, including whether a fake claim could be a phantom thief. Hopefully, my own role will shed some light on this situation.

Fakeclaims hold significant sway in this game. It would be wise not to think of them as something mafia claims, but rather as what they're

pretending to be, in character.
