Here's how I imagine it:In post 25, CheekyTeeky wrote:So...how do we play this game? Anyone have ideas about strategy?
basically we start with 2 cult leaders and a Town core that is unrecruitable, plus a majority of VTs who are considered neutral. Each "day phase" (you'll have to excuse non-game-specific flavour terms) we try to get a VT to join the Town, and each "night" the cult leaders will try to recruit someone each. We are thus hunting for Town VTs to prevent their recruitment.
The trick is not even the "TPRs" (or most of them) know they can't be recruited, or the game would've been very much breakable by mass claiming (I'd expect some TPRs to actually know, which leads me to believe there are some roles with certain actions like detecting the target's alignment or their availability for recruitment (i.e. immune/not immune)).
So, we can play it on faith. We can simply run up someone at random, and if we're lucky they're a VT and will join the Town. The cult leaders will have to avoid that player and try to recruit from the others. We repeat, bearing in mind the player we immunized once cannot be run up again. Of course, there's always a chance we run up someone who is already in a cult and thus we fail (the equivalent of mislynching) and the cult leaders also can target a TPR or a member from the other cult thus their action will fail.
Knowing whom they recruited (each of them) they will try to lead the wagon(s) unto their own (to make sure nobody else in immune), and THAT is where we should be looking for associative tells.
Here a tribute for the cult leaders
Disclaimer: I much rather the Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam version, but I couldn't find an official video for it.

Players may only submit actions during the play phase, or what you're thinking of as day. The pause phase is when all the actions happen. Cult leaders could recruit right now if they wanted to.Instagram: BoneSpellArts

So I asked the mod a couple questions about my wincon:
So by my understanding all of the 22 survivors in this game are aligned with each-other, meaning we can all consider ourselves to be on the same faction. If the survivors stay in the majority by the end of the game and that cannot change, all the living survivors win the game. I deduce that we also lose if we are no longer the majority.
I think that it is inherently WRONG to end Day 1 early because of this, because we really should just "scumhunt" the two cult leaders TODAY, WHILE THEY HAVE NO TEAMMATES, so that we can single them out for any roles that are in the game to hopefully neutralise them.I swear I'm trying my best

I agree to this. Ending Day 1 prematurely just gives the Cult Leaders a free conversion. However, finding them on Day 1 is going to be difficult since they, having probably no team-mates, will lack any interactions with other players that feel different than those with the rest. (I.e. they aren't aligned to anyone yet)In post 81, Venmar wrote:So I asked the mod a couple questions about my wincon:

All the better. My point still stands bc I would expect the voted person immunity to override the recruitment action (i.e. resolve first). In post 80, Chickadee wrote:Players may only submit actions during the play phase, or what you're thinking of as day.
