Yesterday's feelings only amplify into the day, as the previously civil discussions--"I still think we should lynch the people who annoy us!"--...Relatively speaking given the denizens, at least...

...Had devolved into levels of antipathy previously unseen in the community. Compromises had been made in the past, but never like this.

All around, hostilities continue to rise.

With only a fraction of their time having been used, and without bothering to do much in the way of record-keeping, the frustrated council just decides to grab an unfortunate soul, near-universally piling up on

Flavor

With the number of council members continuing to dwindle without a single dead wolf, hopes are at an all time low.

It seems so desperate, in fact, that one of their members vanishes without a trace overnight.

When investigating

Vecna

's house, all that can be found is a single bloodstain.

"What do you suppose

means?"

"He probably got sick of this and just ran off."

"Nah, I say it was the wolves."

"What makes you think that?"

"Only the wolves attack people at night, and this bloodstain wasn't here yesterday, ergo, he was attacked during the night by a wolf!"

"Seems reasonable to me!"

"I think that's a bit premature a conclusion to make."

"You've got an alternative theory?"

"Well, no, but--"

"...Well then, we'll assume it was the wolves until you've got one!"

Among this bickering, it doesn't take long to realize someone who should be there is not.

Once more, the dead body of a member only dampens hopes more, lowering spirits even further.

"Yeah! The wolves!"

Yet something doesn't quite seem right with
