I was thinking of similar thing, but locking up coins isn't entertaining. So I came up with 2 ideas:In post 949, Jingle wrote:Well, yeah, but you could easily bet on the success/failure of individual goals/results of radmans I get, etc.
Say everyone starts with 10 coins and can bet however many they choose on whatever outcome they choose, but those bets are tied to a character and those coins are useless until the bet is for sure a yes or no, so voting for guaranteed things like “He dies”. Ties up your coins until I actually die while others can continue to bet in the meantime.
The real question is what the prize should be. I’d be happy to offer the running of one game of the winners choice, if that sounds spicy enough.
1. Similar to Jingle's - start with 100 coins, max bet 10 (I know someone would like to bet all of them on some nonsense, but we here to have fun for long time). Betting would be for events that may or may not happen, while Jingle is travelling from one city/encampment/etc to another (including time spent in second one), so it would start at the time of the leave. If you win bet, you get double, if you lose bet, you lose your coins.
2. No coins, only betting on will something happens or not. Correct guess will be worth 1 point. Same time interval for events.
Lastly, we an introduce coefficients - one outcome would be worth more than other. So you may get double for choosing yes or triple for choosing no, same with points, one option might give 1, while other might be worth 2.
