Yes. The only changes between games:
-The flavor of the scum needing to be lynched
-The flavor of some scum
-The flavor of the conftown player
-Which 12 other characters are in the game or exist as scum fakeclaims (which is mostly flavor)
-The exact nature of "Combos", which is this game series' power roles. (To give an example, the Jester's combo in one game might be a VT, but in a different game, be a Roleblocker. Combos are made to balance the game and will exist in the necessary ways to achieve this balance.)

The setup is 2d3, which is designed by Cabd. This is my first time moderating a game and I decided to go with a theme of some of my favorite albums and songs! I realize it may seem a bit odd to run a 2d3 setup as it was just removed from the newbie queue, but it is a setup that I enjoy for its simplicity, and the one I am most familiar with. Being such, I believe it is a good place to start so that I can be as effective a mod as possible. I am allowing hydrae to join in as well because I think it could be entertaining to see how they play my most familiar setup. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me!

CultD3 is a variation of NewD3, with a Cult instead of Mafia. Some roles from NewD3 have been changed to reflect the fact it's now a Cult, not Mafia.
The Cult is also limited to a maximum of three living players.

I know this thread is not for discussing setups generally but you probably should have a rule to make sure town doesn't no lynch and cause the game to break.

  2. A 13 player game where everyone starts with a target and if you help murder them you gain things. How fun is that!
  3. Anti claim is apart of this game so you can't just claim your target in public and ruin the fun.

PrefaceNow, I know the last iteration of the idea I ran, (EISAL), it was horrible. I regret running it. It sucked. However, I'm wanting to change that. I want to give it another shot. This time, I'm changing it for the better. I'm using a much more rigorous process to create and review the setup as well as trying to get several others to help take a look at it and see what I need to do. Everything the setup will need, (events, special mechanics, etc.), will be determined before the setup even goes into signups. I can promise you that this iteration will be much better than the last, and will definitely make up for the previous one.


Why Should I Join?Why should you join? That's a good question. I really don't know. This game is only mafia by the very bare technicalities of what a game of mafia even is. The rest of the game is pure lies, deception and murder. Only a few things are confirmed by me, the moderator, to be truthful. Everything else I say could be a lie. You never really know. I will attempt to make everything in it relatively balanced, however, I do promise regardless of how the setup ends up turning out, it will be extremely fun.


FeaturesSo, now that I have your interest for the game, what even are the features/traits of the game that make me want to join it? I'm glad you asked! The setup will have the following things:
- Moderator lies and moderator bullshit!
- Special events!
- Mostly true rolecards!1
- Role Madness with a single VT!
- Extremely bastard mechanics!
- Cults!
- An actually decent setup, except with extremely bastard stuff!


Setup InformationUnfortunately, that's all the fun stuff I got to share. Everything else I got is boring and the information I'm contractually obligated to share.
- 21 player game, (excluding any uninvited players...)
- 14 day / 2 day phases.
- Role Madness with a single VT.
- Special Events will occur everyday, affecting one or more mechanics of the game. They will last for the entire day unless otherwise specified.
- Guaranteed to have at least 5 Town, 2 Mafia and 1 Cultist2. Other scum factions not guaranteed, but may be present.


What I'm Looking For NowSo, what am I looking for? Apart from the obvious answer of players, here is what I'm looking for:

WAIT, HOLD ON... SEMI-U-PICK?This game is quite like U-Pick, you send me flavor names and we create a setup based on everyone's "picks".
But this time, you cannot freely choose your flavors. Not even from a category.
In fact, your Role PM will be generated based on your random drawing!
The random drawings, or Gacha, or opening Loot Boxes, or whatever you call (in this game this is referred to as Fate Weaves) are common in most mobile games. They are like lottery machines. Players pay currencies to draw one or more items randomly from a pre-announced pool. Some items will be rarer than others and that is what keeps players spending their entire wallet and loans on the game.

Upon signing up to this game, players must submit a screenshot from Magia Record Wiki's Fate Weave Simulator, showing the result of a Fate Weave draw. The mods will then generate Role PMs based on the result of the draw.


GAME MECHANICS
ROLE PM
: Your Role PM will include exactly one Magical Girl from your draw, plus up to two different Memoriae (singular: Memoria) that further enhance your power. (A memoria may be shared by multiple players, but no one will have duplicates of a Magical Girl. In a rare case that one or more players' "picks" become impossible to generate a Role PM due to duplicates, the mods may overwrite one or more picks of those in concern and give them a Magical Girl they did not draw instead. We will only do this if it is required.)
DISC SELECTION MECHANIC
: Each Magical Girl comes with 5 normal discs, a combination of
Accele
,
Blast
and
Charge
discs with at least one of each (plus one
Magia
/
Doppel
disc, explained below). Each night including pregame, players must decide which disc they are using for the next day and night. Each disc provides different amount of "votes" and MP. At the start of each Day, the game will announce the number of votes each player has, but not the disc they used and the amount of MP gained.
VOTING
: Despite having multiple votes, players still vote normally and use their votes against one player at a time, not split between multiple. A lynch is achieved when a player receives at least half of the combined total of votes each player has, rounded down, plus one.
MP, MAGIA AND DOPPEL
: Each player has an MP gauge that starts at 0MP and can hold up to 200MP. Once a player accumulates enough MP, they will be able to spend those to use a
Magia
disc instead of a normal one. Using a Magia disc grants player some special abilities/actions which activates immediately or later, depending on the effect. Some players also have a
Doppel
disc which is basically an even stronger version of Magia, which costs a lot more MP and must be used instead of Magia if available.
