Election 2020 will be an Open Setup:

Players:

9 Townies
3 Mafia

Available Roles:

President (May Fire or Appoint All Cabinet Members at any time)
Vice President (Replaces the President Upon Death or Impeachment)

Cabinet Positions:

Secretary of Defense (May Deploy Military to Defend or Attack a Player) (Doctor or Vigilante)
FBI Director (May deploy FBI agents to investigate a player) (Cop)
CIA Director (May deploy CIA to track player action or block a player action) (Tracker or Roleblocker)

Cabinet Positions may not use their powers on the President or VP due to Chain of Command.

Impeachment:
Players may vote to impeach to President to remove him from office - a majority + 1 is required to remove the President from office. Players may also vote for a double impeachment which will remove both the President and VP from office - afterwards there will be a snap election to form a new government.

The VP replaces the President upon death or impeachment and appoints a new VP immediately after stepping into power.

Initial Setup:

All players may run for President with a running mate - initially there will be a four day campaigning period in which players may talk, bribe, promise, lie etc to curry favor, find a running mate and gather votes. A vote count will be taken at the end of Day 4 and the leading two teams will go into a run off if there is not a clear majority winner. If any Presidential candidate receives 7 votes they will immediately form a government and begin appointing cabinet positions and we will enter night.

So as said previously, the game is based on an IRL game I play Click here for the Board Game Geek. Click here for the fandom wiki of the game Please note that the main game has a load of expansions, we're only playing with the base game so there'll only be 20 roles
There's a few mechanic changes:
1) Semi-open game, at the start you'll get a list of about 20 roles (both good and bad) you will not know which roles are in the game nor the ratio of good to bad
2) Voting is done privately, you will never be told a vote count, just who got the most votes
3) There are 2 stages to the Day phase, a) Accusations where you vote to put suspicion on players b) The Ballot where the 2 highest players from Accusations are on The Ballot and then you vote between said players to eliminate 1 from the village
4) Wolves(Mafia) Cannot speak during day and have limited speaking during night, they can only say players names for targets, no making plans (this is to emulate the IRL version in which you can only point, you can't talk)
