Actually, I'm a Trek fan, but I despise TOS. Too campy, too much internal inconsistency. The later series take themselves more seriously.

Voyager was my first Trek series, but it's a lot less quality overall than TNG and DS9. I like individual characters in Voyager, a lot of the stories are forgettable. They also had a succession of writers, each of whom had their favorite characters, so there are heavy Mary Sue elements, and some well-developed characters get forgotten later on.

But fiiiiire!

I just popped in to say that TNG is clearly the best series and that TOS is amazing in what it did for and in its time!
DSN was very meh. I never had it resonate with me.
Voyager was good overall, but seemed to lack something.

The new movie series is great if you remember it is an alternate reality and don't expect it to mirror original Trek. They are good sci-fi action movies!

I think there was one called Enterprise too, which had
spectacular
ratings...

Picard>Spock>Sisko>Janeway>New Kirk>Archer>Old Kirk

Sorry. I like Shatner in other stuff, but not Trek. And I know Spock wasn't Captain in TOS, but he really made the show.

I liked all the Treks, they each brought something to the table.

I'm old, so I watched TOS when it first aired. Back then a lot of stuff we take for granted was impossible - a Russian guy and a black chick on the bridge crew, wireless communicators smaller than telephones, computers that didn't need a room as big as a barn, hospital beds that could read a patient's vitals...

And it touched on alternate universes, time travel, ESP...

It was very inspiring and ahead of its time.

Ummmmmmmmmmmm excuseeee me

I love the new movie series bc it doesn't over fanservice (unlike some of Abram's other series continuations, looking at YOU, theme of this game!), but instead works in little beats that act as nods to TOS. You're entitled to your opinion, though, but just know I'm policy lynching you immediately.

Yes I agree! They're making a new series now though and IDK if it will be any good. It won't live up to these last movies tbh which is weird to say about split timeline remakes

I was 9 when it started.

The '60s was an excellent decade to grow up in. Kids take things as they come, we're too young to be hung up on what was there before, like the millennials being so great with tech while we geezers ... not so much. When I was little there were always old heads exploding every day over long hair rock and roll music, atheists in space, civil rights, hippies, bright colored clothes, eastern religion, merra-ju-whanna... the lols were plentiful indeed.
