It should be mentioned that, in a game of this size, with many players who prefer slower or more stately games, as well as some who rarely play at all, we will be politely requesting that you (all) chill the fuck out for at least the first couple of days. We discussed putting a limit on posting, or implementing the geriatric ruleset, but decided you were collectively mature enough to respond to a simple request. In post 29, Iconeum wrote:Let's make a quick checklist of things I need to do this game:
-1v1 with Formerfish
-gif wars with Pongwin
-tunnel Skygazer
-stay hidden from the worst's gaze
-don't pick a fight with Mastina
I think that's a good start
This doesn’t mean you can’t meme, or shitpost a little, but please be respectful of the 26 other players."Cry havoc, and let slip the wombat of war!"

Yes, there are structural problems with the request. My *whole job* this game is to distract, misdirect, and deceive, while Ali just does that naturally.
Still. Grown-ass adults with more-than-fulltime jobs and families etc find it difficult to keep up and stay engaged when we wake up to ten new pages and come home from work to fifteen more.
Example: while taking time to respond to this thread, I nearly hit two white-tailed deer crossing the road, one of them this year’s fawn, its spots still in evidence. That would have ruined my day, and I’ve got to stop texting/typing while driving."Cry havoc, and let slip the wombat of war!"

One thing I suggest trying is just not posting until the end of your day and just catch up
the more people that do this, the easier the read is.
Like i get it
people will be excited to play
I am too
but we don't need this to be a living nightmare for people who don't post as much

Your hyperposting tends to be unusually pleasant and content-filled, and often makes you easy to read.In post 68, popsofctown wrote:I'll try to join some other games that can steal my hyperpost energy.
Spoiler= tags for content that is pretty memey can be a good idea.
So don’t do that this game. If you’re Town I want you as hard to read as possible, and if you’re scum I’d rather you not broadcast it plzkthx"Cry havoc, and let slip the wombat of war!"

I seriously considered it. Last year half the team was skittles, I thinkIn post 200, Skygazer wrote:pine if u dont make an all skittle scum team then ur a coward
This campaigning and posturing for whether you get drafted or not is fruitless. I’ve had a ranked-order list of who I want to draft for more than a week, with dossiers on each of you. While some changes may be made in the draft process to adjust for who Town recruits, I’ve done several mock drafts and I think I have a handle on who will end up on my team. I can read Jinglisae like a book."Cry havoc, and let slip the wombat of war!"

Pfft.
Hey, who wants a hint about my draft order?
Well there’s also the major surprise gimmick that even Ali doesn’t know about yet (I think)Jingle wrote:

On the other hand, my preparation for this game has been to tape all of your avatars to my dart board and buy a blindfold."Cry havoc, and let slip the wombat of war!"
