I chatted with FD and he cleared me to mod a game (have modded elsewhere). It will be themed Famous Canines. Will work on getting signups going sometime soon.

FYI- BJ has modded a few games. His games have been fun and creative and usually well enjoyed. He meets clearly the mafiascum guidelines for modding. Just wanted to get that out there.

Pheobus, it is actually the set-up of that game he planned to use. He would run it open role. I can attest to the set-up and game balance. I also will gladly serve as co-mod.

Hmm, unless I am not mistaken Nanook's game is a mini based on quick and the dead-- is there any problem with a full game running with WW theme around the same time?

That was quick verification, when do Sycko and I figure out if we can start? Not that time's an issue, we're probably gonn need a week or two to type up roles and figure out all the nitty gritty bits.
I would say if the game gets a approval let them have their chance. Especially when you consider the # of abandoned games by respected mods that have happened. Give the kids an opportunity.

Well, I see SSB! tried to start a game without going through things properly. I will work things out with him and since I am qualified to mod, I would be willing to "co-mod" and oversee the game to make sure SSB! manage it per Scum standards, if he is willing. SSB! has modded before.
It is an attempt at a 60 player game, so it might be worthwhile.
I will see what he wants to do.

Phoebus wrote:Actually, I PM'ed him and making it a 60 player game is exactly what might not make it worthwhile for scum. Quagmire had a torrid time seeking replacements in his 40 player game.
I suggested putting up a notice in MD asking for scummers to visit FBG. I know there are a few players who would be interested and it would be easier than bringing half of FBG over.
Iammars, I will get back to you ASAP.
60 players is a big number and the game could be run "elsewhere" but I think the deal is to actually get 60 players.
I will chat with SSB!- I know replacements can be an issue. I think it would be basically combining players from various sites, and I think it could be interesting. I believe the #s would be whilttled down fairly quickly. I haven't seen set up yet but you may have some "fears" that wouldn't be realized. I will talk with SSB!

oh and no one would go to MD to sign up for a game, the deal would be to get folks interested in playing. FBG's are more likely to move to another site rather then Scummers. Drop me a PM to discuss this more. I don't think "replacements" will be a major issue.

as to quagmires game, there were surprisingly few replacements from what I saw. It is an active game still going on. THeme games are for experimentation and I can assure you a well run game which will have a way of dealing with the "replacement" issue. And pace and timing of game won't be an issue. I will gladly chat with you via AIM when home if need be.

i ran my normal with 30. I had to replace a few but handled it no problem. TSS, part of the issue with simpsoms FYI was the long delays between night and day.

Talking with SSB! It could be run with 50. I have shown I can handle a game, keep it well timed and manage replacements. Like I said I will discuss more via AIM when around but this game should be interesting without even seeing the setup yet.
