Also, is it possible to go to 2 IC's, 1 SE in newbie games, or are there still not enough IC's for that? I liked being able to look at the opinions of two different experienced players when I played in seven player newbies. Besides, if the IC is currently lynched day 1 or killed night 1, a large part of the game will be played without one. With 2 IC's, that risk is much lower.

Yes. The list mod (VRK) will post playerlists as they fill up. The mod of your game will sent you a pm when your game starts.
