Themed games are played in the Theme Park forum. Games can be considered themed for one or both of two reasons: Because they have an obvious theme or because they have different game mechanics. It is a Large game if the game has 14 or more players.
What are the Modding Requirements to run a Large Theme Game?
In order to moderate a Large Theme game you must meet three requirements: (1) you must meet the experience requirements; (2) your game must have been reviewed; and (3) you must have a qualified backup or co-moderator
You must meet the current large theme game experience requirements
You must have modded at least two (2) qualifying games on Mafiascum (see Wiki for more detail)
You must be a mod in Good Standing with the modding community.
If you have abandoned a game or otherwise moderated poorly, the listmod reserves the right to (a) require that you moderate a mini or other game before moderating a large theme; (b) refuse you access to large themes entirely; (c) work closely with the listmod and/or specified reviewers/backup moderators; or (d) any other measure he believes necessary.
Your game must have been reviewed by a qualified moderator
You must have your game reviewed in substantially its final form before signing up to moderator a Large Theme game. Your reviewer must have reviewed the final product AND agreed that the game is ready to go. You can find reviewers by posting in The New Set-Up Review Thread. First time Large Theme game moderators should have their game reviewed by someone who has previously run a Large Theme Game.
Your game must have a qualified Backup or Co-Moderator
A qualified back-up or co-mod must meet all the requirements to mod the game independently. Additionally this means that a back-up mod must not be currently backing up more than one Large game and a co-mod must not be currently running more than one Large game. If you are unsure whether you or your co or back-up mod are qualified, please PM the list mod (currently GuyInFreezer).
If you are having trouble finding a back up mod, you can post in the Back-up Mods Wanted thread to find a suitable volunteer. Additionally you can check the Backup Mod Availability List to see if there are any available backup mods on the list. This list is also helpful to determining if a backup mod is currently busy with another game.
How do I post a New Game Application?
If you're ready to start sign-ups make a post in this thread, make a new post in this thread and include the following information (You can either use this template or your own, but make sure all the information is provided.):

Game Name -

Flavor -

Number of Players -

Your Experience -

Current Modding Commitments -

Reviewers -

Reviewers Agreed to FINAL version? (Y/N) -

Backup or Co-Mod -

Backup or Co-Mod's Experience -

Backup or Co-Mod's Commitments -

Is it possible your game has any of the following: cults, mid-game alignment changes, moderator lies that cannot be reasonably anticipated (for example, Godfather, Tailor, Miller, Ninja, and mechanics like that are generally fine. Telling someone they are a reflexive doctor when they're actually a PGO is not), secret win conditions, un-divulged non-randomness in player role/alignment generation, direct moderator influence during the game? [Yes/No]
If permission is granted for your game, you can start your own signup thread in the queue. From that time sign-ups are open. It would be appreciated if you could keep an up-to-date list of players and needed replacements in the first post of your thread, and keep your thread title updated. If you ever need replacements you can edit your topic title and bump your topic to the top if needed. (Please try not to bump your topic more than once per 24 hour period)
Sign Up Deadlines
There will be two sets of sign-up deadline rules used: (1) low supply rules (empty or near empty queue) or (2) high supply rules (full queue)
Low Supply Rules
In low supply times, there is generally no wait in the queue or there are only one or two games before you when you sign up. During these times, your game will have three weeks to fill so long as the low supply rules remain in effect.
During Low Supply, there are no requirements for number of pre-ins.
High Supply Rules
In high supply times, there is generally a wait to moderate a game. During these times, your game has two weeks to get at least 67% of the player slots filled, rounded down, or the game will be canceled. If at least 67% of player slots are filled after two weeks, the game will have a final week to fill. If at this time the game does not fill, it will be canceled.
During high supply, games that have over 25 player slots must have at least 50% of their slots, rounded down, filled by pre-ins.
Once pulled from sign-up prematurely or failed to fill the game, you may not re-enter the same game to the queue until two large theme games fills or in a month, whichever is faster.
Entering a different game in a signup is fine but if I think you are abusing a loophole I will deny your signup to the queue.
List Mod Service
The listmod is here to serve you as a moderator to make your games better. If there is something that you cannot usually accomplish with regular moderator powers that the listmod can serve you with, please let the list moderator know. It is likely that we can work something out. For example, if you have a game that has a role that can edit his own vote counts, the list moderator could give him moderator power as well.
Pre-Ins
You may have up to 67%, rounded down, of your player slots filled by pre-ins. If your sign-ups will adjust in some way, you may have up to 67% of your LOWEST possible number as pre-ins.
Starting the Game Deadline
For an ordinary game, where you have designed the setup ahead of time, you have 72 hours to begin your game after the last player signs up. For games where the mechanic requires a design phase, games must start within 10 days of the last player signing up.
Please only posts Applications or Application Addendum within the thread.
This is not a discussion thread, bring anything discussion related to another thread or PM.
Leaving items out of your application may cause your application's approval to be delayed or sent to the back of the line. Please make sure to include all information required under Part III of these rules.
If the List Mod informs you that something is missing from your application, he does indeed want you to fix it.
Unless otherwise stated, the List Mod prefers you fix it in thread by either filing an addendum or editing your application. This promotes transparency and the List Mod enjoys transparency.

If my game ran in its entirety during crash erased time, can I simply make a one post thread with link to recovered game download link just for purposes of having it still exist?
This game will encompass about 15-20 different cartoon shows from the 1990's.
My desire will be to have this game completed in the next 2 weeks and find a co-mod and 2 reviews.
EBWOP: I should state this is American Cartoon shows. Sorry I don't know anything else and it would lack real flavor if it was anything but.
Sarcasm is just a way of saying how stupid you think someone is but in a more polite way.

I believe we are still trying to figure out what to do about games that were completely lost, as for using them as experience. At this time, if you have proof that the game was completed I can approve it as experience. As for whether you can do what you are asking, I do not see why not.
Large Theme List Mod Emeritus
On hiatus due to Real Life
As an additional note, many games are in the queue restarting. We we return to our regularly scheduled approval process once the queue clears up a bit and games have had a chance to restart.

Me and Haylen here putting a claim on running a Politics Themed Mafia in the near future. Will be a pretty large game, with a very different voting mechanic to regular Mafia games.
Already got the setup designed, will be reviewed shortly, plan on opening signups in 2-3 weeks
Please delete my comment from your sig...such an awful joke- Battle Mage
Politics Mafia currently requires 1 replacement, please PM me if interested.
- "AGar: Now we just need to come up with the flavor in our /in post
Quadz: haha yup. you're proooobably better at that than me. lol
AGar: ehhh if we had a theme? Maybe. Telling people we're basically throwing them into our own little slightly-sadistic science project with mostly made-from scratch roles? This is a tough sell, lol"
- Our joint mod account is TWIN SWORDS OF DESTINY.
- We will be accepting pre-/ins for this game, please PM the aforementioned account.
- We will also be setting relatively strict requirements for joining this game, given the nature of it. Most of the roles are hand-created by the two of us, and thus, players should be ready for pretty much everything. There will be VTs in this game.
Ski mask? Check! Sawed off? Check! Guilty conscience, fear of death? Check! Check! Check!
- This is a role madness, semi-bastard game like no other; the roles you will play are the very worst mafiascum could come up with! Almost every role is non-normal or bastardly in some way, so expect to be fucked with. If you start crying because you don’t like the roles or because me or my reviewers are bastards, you will be shunned and mocked.
I'm calling this one off in light of what izak has told me. There is no point attempting to continue given how close it was to the end and that it was missing information. I think he modded enough of the game to earn the modding experience for it too.
(Mostly) on hiatus until further notice. Planet MafiaScum 2 will be modded by Inspi and JDGA - go check it out!
Seeing as Secret Santa Mafia got killed in the crash and isn't coming back in the near future due to players knowing some of the mechanics, I'd like to replace it with a new game.
Quack Mafia
- Open setup, think Dethy but with doctors.
- 18-20 players
- No current commitments
- Backup Mod: Amrun (1 large game in-progress, waiting in mini theme queue atm)
