Pick Your Policy

Flavor/Mechanics:

Flavor will be absent from this game to facilitate simplicity.
The mechanics are fairly intense. Elimination isn't an option immediately — you will have to appoint a Council to pass policies to slowly form a government similar to Secret Hitler and Avalon. Mafia will kill off players and you have four routes of policy to go down, plus various other motions which represent the powers of the fledgling government. If you're focused in your policy-passing you can end the game early by electing a leader.

Game is semi-open but mechanic-heavy. No hidden mechanics are present and no lies are told.

If you like a bit of Secret Hitler, a bit of Avalon, a bit of Kingmaker, Coalition, and Safehouse, and a lot of PTs, this is the game for you.

This game, as well as all games I run comes with a general disclaimer that I disagree with the vast majority of mods on this site on what constitutes game balance. I do not promise that this game conforms to your notions of what game design should look like. My games have the potential to be swingy and use elements that some people do not like (cults, jesters, multiball etc.)

This is not to say that anything like that is in this game, but if you prefer sterile mafia games where you can determine the setup from flipping a few roles then this game might not be for you. If you do not like swing in your mafia games this game might not be for you. You have been warned.

I understand.

It's just that my schedule makes it difficult to dig into games Tues-Thurs, and Fri-Mon I have much more free time to dedicate to games.

I hydra to prevent my shot from being a lurksack with minimal game content through half the week.

Granted I've managed to be fairly active in my past completed games since returning, but I've trimmed back because of that until I figured out the hydra solution.

I know each head has to meet thread activity requirements, (which I can do), I just don't like living in FoS purely because of real life limitations.

Just explaining that hydrae can serve a positive role. Not trying to litigate.

I'll miss this game, it looks like a blast.
