Take no offense, Talitha -- he was channeling Strong Bad!
PB, I missed your post earlier about possible collaboration. I'm perfectly happy with you taking the reins alone -- I won't whine that you stole it from me or anything . I think I only announced it in a game thread, as a response to someone who quoted Homestar; I haven't even re-signed up moderator mini theme list since the crash. I think the email format you've sampled above is a great idea -- I'm reserving a spot now (and crossing my fingers I don't end up as Marzipan ).
I've got a free-market Christmas game written that I'll roll out once Princess Bride is done (hopefully
before
Christmas), so I've got plenty to do.

Norinel -- please wait a few slots before putting yourself on the theme list. I can't imagine not signing up for either HSR game. If they run at the same time, it will be impossible!

Well there's that series of strips where he replicates himself several times for homework/chores/etc. That might be hilarious to make townspeople out of the extra Calvins -- then the original Calvin could be an SK bent on getting rid of the duplicates!

blackhawk wrote:what about a sesame street mafia?
That is so weird. Just last night I suggested to Fletcher that a Sesame Street or Muppet mafia might be awesome. I think I'd go for Muppets over Sesame Street, though. Just think:
Animal
The old guys in the box seats (can't think of their names)
Swedish Chef
Beaker
Fozzie
Gonzo
Pigs in Space
Scooter
The possibilities....
Oh -- and I'd be up for some Spongebob as well!

Werebear wrote:I'm going to be running Red Dwarf in the next few months, but I have to ask... would I get 20 players?
I'd never heard of Red Dwarf, but immediately following the first time the possibility of a game based thereon was discussed (in HHGG1) I added the discs to my netflix queue and placed them on hold at my local library. They have been listed as "long wait" for all this time...
So, basically, yeah -- I wanna play. But, no -- I haven't seen it yet.

I'm on the mini theme list to run Survivor Mafia. It's written -- but I have one kink (could be unresolvable) that I need to work out. Basically, I'm just posting notice as I see PBuG mentioned it as a theme in his above list and I don't want anyone else working on one unnecessarily.

I think there's sufficient interest for another HHGG -- the two that have been run were minis, so only 12 got to play in each. But you might want to read through TRATEOTU (in Little Italy) and talk to Werebear about the first...which was tragically last in the crash...so that you don't duplicate the set up. Though that would be mighty unlikely.
I'd be /in for Army of Darkness the second sign-ups began
And the unlikely superheroes game sounds hysterical -- I'd play that.

Any interest?
You could even change the wording here to "players must at least check the game every other hour" and I'd still qualify...
Definitely interested in playing any high-participation game.

I'm in the normal game queue to run one something like this -- only I've called it "Siamese Twin" mafia.

~laughs~
MadTV has the best potential for rich roles...I hope enough people know it (and if you DON'T know it, start watching it on Comedy Central! It's consistently more hilarious than SNL)
