I think that large themes attract playerlists that aren't as concerned about playing to win and the diffusion of responsibility makes townies make really awful decisions that they wouldn't make in smaller queues.

I would be extremely reluctant to play a large theme without a very specific playerlist as a non-hydra simply because the playerlists of large themes favor scum too much.

only in large themes
town were doing better in some of the other queues but a lot of the townies that were winning those games have stopped playing or toned down their playing

and like I'm more referring to people saying
"oh my reads were good late game"
after they mislynched all the incorrect scumreads that they had and were left with the one person who was actually scum and who was closer to a null read but eventually moved down to the bottom

False
Fortnight is way easier for scum than Gameshow was

Yeah but on the other hand scum has literally never won Gameshow in lobbies where RadiantCowbells wasn't scum, so that should say it's pretty townsided.

Being able to remove the best players in the game from play is really silly if we divorce the concept of it from the fact that it's how things have been done forever. It's not like you can just remove the enemy's forward in soccer.

but if both A and B player that has a relatively weaker scum game does something outside of their scum range and you're in LyLo, you're just a sitting duck waiting to be killed mostly.
Your play would have literally little agency at that point, because all it would matter is that "A and B can't play scum like that". So...
Everyone plays past their scum range at some point.

i've lynched efforting creature lol
it's not hard to convince people to do things if you hit the right notes
nsg went down screaming that i was scum at the top of her internet lungs
i really think the issue is that we coddle scum players and act like having to meaningfully towntell and fool half decent town players is unfair instead of nightkilling them and fooling the lowest common denominators

Yeah, you always want to be the same alignment as RC. However, I won in two games as scum when he was town.
One of them was a Hydra game which I don't count
The other I had all 3 scum yourself included in my top scumreads but town chose to ignore my reads in favor of 1) ankamius pairing with me so she could suicide bomb me and 2) everyone ignored me when I said gamma should be left out and then Gammas pair ended up being the IC

Not even bringing up that in both masquerade and that game I said a pairing was TvT (moment TheBrie vs SS Titus) and town decided their reads were better and lynched them anyway

Like I'm sorry but I wouldn't need to bring stuff like that up if everyone else didn't feel the need to bring whatever they can up to either lift themselves up at my expense or just knock me down a peg in general.

I vetoed her as an early lynch to avoid toxicity but I created multiple higher priority town pairings and told everyone to kill Gamma and all that was ignored.

If you're implying that I'm making up that read then feel free to read my first lost in dead thread.
Otherwise it's a lot less frustrating being scum and not feeling like people on my own faction are working against me so it's a lot easier to be charismatic and make people want to listen

As scum town are my enemies so I don't feel any sort of obligation to have them help me and if they ignore me and do town helping things it's me who suffers. That motivates me to be convincing and whatever. As town when people I feel like are town are being gigantic sticks in the mud it pisses me off and now if they ignore me and i lose as a result they lose too. So it's far less motivating.
