"town neighbors" and masons are the same thing. I guess you can muddle things up by virtue of the additional neighborhoods existing and not telling players whether they are in the neighborhood that was generated to always contain town or not, but you'd have a percentage skew on alignments of people based on the number of neighborhoods they are members of.
You should just make some setup that's balanced on its face and add X neighborhoods to it in a fully random fashion, even if it might put scum together in a redundant neighborhood. That might mean you don't want masons because it's another chance to low roll, but if you commit to three neighborhoods you'd create at least one non redundant neighborhood, and it's actually extremely unlikely you don't generate two."Let us say that you are right and there are two worlds. How much, then, is this 'other world' worth to you? What do you have there that you do not have here? Money? Power? Something worth causing the prince so much pain for?'"

Not sure if this is the correct place to ask for feedback on a setup I have designed. Happy to move post if necessary.
Warning: I designed a monster that has a ~11 page design document. This is because I heavily modified Mafia's mechanics to account for people reviving from death, and making it Semi-open, I had to then also stop claims from breaking the game.
If that sounds like the sort of thing that scratches your puzzle-box itch, please look at my game. Really want to know if there's some big stupid mistake that I missed. Google doc below.
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1mhF ... sp=sharing
Note: I will probably be hosting this on a Facebook group in the next few days. If it doesn't break horribly I could host here if there's enough interest. Hope that doesn't break mafiascum rules: I do intend to host this here if a variant so abnormal is allowed.- farside22

Lookin' for a couple of reviewers qualified for Large Theme games. Currently pretty early on in the design process, so no rush.
Gonna run a lightly flavored Animal Crossing themed game as a sort of spiritual successor to the behemoth that was Civilization Mafia, though not exactly the same. A fairly simple design revolving around an innovative core mechanic.
Willing to return the favor for any upcoming games anyone needs reviewed. hmu please <3

Hello, everyone.
I am looking for someone who can review and potentially back up Mafia of Revelations. It's a Large Theme. Its size and complexity are both reasonable, but if you're not familiar with how my games tend to go, my sense of "reasonable" may be skewed somewhat.
Many thanks to Nahdia and cfj. I deeply appreciate it.Everything you say and do matters. People will respond in ways you may never see. May those responses be what you intend.- Kerset

We have a really active Open Setup review forum so if you want lots of input you can post the setup in the Open Setup review thread or make an entire thread to discuss it.
If you'd rather fewer people interact with it, for whatever reason, I'd be happy to review it and comod it.

I need help with balancing a theme game which is very power heavy & swingy.
Drop me a PM if you can help. Thanks in advance!"Don't be afraid of losing people. Be afraid of losing yourself by trying to please everyone."

I need a fresh set of eyes for balance for a large theme game. I already have the setup in a PT. I plan on desiging role PMs tomorrow.ShowThe scum had the misfortune of Titus being absurdly accurate on day one.Really quite impressed by that.~Drixx

Looking for a reviewer or two for a mechanically driven Mini Theme.- The mechanic is driven by night kill flavor and will be semi-revealed to players prior to signups.
- The game is probably really swingy. Also I haven't designed a setup in 7 or 8 years.
- Bonus points if you'd be willing to backup mod whenever I get around to running this.
Ski mask? Check! Sawed off? Check! Guilty conscience, fear of death? Check! Check! Check!

Big newbie, so much so that I shouldn't be running my own game yet, but an idea I wanted to possibly try this labor day weekend for was a swingy multiball cultafia open setup with 2 cult leaders, with a variation in which:
each cult can recruit at most 4 members total
recruited members keep their night action if they have one
if the cult leader dies, so does everyone in that cult
cult recruitment fails if they try to recruit a cult leader or opposing cultist.
If 2 cult leaders target the same person, it's a hidden coin flip
town wins when both cult leaders dead
Setup so far:
1x red cult leader
1x blue cult leader
6x vanilla townies
2x even night town vigilantes
2x odd night town vigilantes
2x town jailors
2x town trackers
2x town watchers
Something like this is hard to balance, but how could I get it as balanced as possible?- shellyc

Noob checking in. That looks like a ton of PRs ngl
More VTs, I assume jailor is jailkeeper, maybe 1 tracker 1 watcher 2 jailkeepers and 1 odd night 1 even night vig would be enough prs
IMO two CLs targeting same should result in nothing"I really dig your cult leadery charismatic vibes" - Hectic

I am looking for at least one reviewer for a mechanically complex Large Theme game based on the video game Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (https://nintendo.fandom.com/wiki/Xenoblade_Chronicles_2)
I'd like to have at least one of them be comfortable with the source material, but I'm not going to absolutely require it. I'm kind of in the end stages of getting my first draft finalized, but I definitely want to spot check some mechanics.

He usually never puts effort into reads like that, which does sometimes get him scumread, but since he was on an alt and we didn't know his meta, I can see CL!him making reads as an exception since he knows he'll probably be scumread otherwise.
