Mafiascum 20th Anniversary Game - Recruitment

At our peak we were an incredibly competent loremaster of mafiascum, able to recount the tales before our time as well as basically every meme since then, from the reason the NRG formed to the fallen posts to Constant. Vigilance. (the eternal QT) to Tigers! to the Rollbacks.

Our knowledge has since dimmed considerably, but we still have enough knowledge that we can probably still be of use.

Oh I'm more interested in playing tbh especially since I tend to shy away from flavor writing.

Often forgotten, because the remembrance and the corrupted posts were wiped out in a rollback, but there was a time when every post on the site was corrupted into hex code or something like that, and while most were recovered, there were a number lost permanently. Thus, "Remember the (*number*)".

Wish I could remember the number to remember.
It was either in the 100s or 200s, pretty sure. I think that there MIGHT have been an 8 in there somewhere?

That one time when literally every forum was a subforum of, I think, Site Ideas, with them being totally inaccessible except through that forum.

The Bad At Mafia ruleset, where instead of replacements, there were modkills.

The formation of the NRG after there was a "Normal" game with a cult, (limmer/executioner/whatever you prefer to call the role previously known for winning upon one specific player's elimination), and Death Godfathers/Millers, including a Mafia Mason. (It was one of two. The other, I think had a town player convert to a serial killer every time a town was mislimmed, featuring mafia who were told they were Masons until a phase had passed)

The Legacy Mafiascum site--when we migrated over to 2.0, initially, we couldn't actually transfer over all the game data. So old games were archived, and you could view the entirety of mafiascum (wiki and forum and all) at the moment of the swap.

This is also what caused the switch from mafiascum.net/forum to forum.mafiascum.net.
You could access both at the same time. One (the new one) you could post in, but not view things older than it; the other, you could view without posting in.

This was eventually taken down when a combination of actually figuring out how to import 1.0 to 2.0, and a vulnerability in 1.0, happened.
