The "This is Morally Wrong Guy" is a townie who feels that this entire process of lynching people is morally wrong. Every day that an innocent is lynched, they spend the entire following day beating themselves up for their moral shortcomings.

I wouldn't do it. First, the game isn't really fun (no interactions), further, the lynch right and you got another lynch makes it more swingy. Further you basically have serial double killers, making them quite powerful. This means probably, after day 1, that four people die, leaving 7 for the next day where a lynch is possible. Then another mislynch gets you into prisoners dilemma. (not really mafia).

The biggest problem is probably that it is more fun to mod then to play.

that's the idea. You mod setups the players want (I forgot the exact way they are nominated, goes via some thread, and the listmod has a big say in it, I thought).

Further, it is also a bad idea to have mafia without an informed minority.

I'd like some insight on the following Open Setup I plan to mod on another site :

Players : 2 scum, 7 town
Rules : "Pick Your Poison", scum choose three power roles to give to town (they are randomly assigned to town players), then town votes to give two powers to the scum. Day start.

Powers to choose from :

For Town

* Cop
* 1-Shot Vig
* Doctor
* 1-Shot Archangel (can choose to resurrect the player that was just killed by the scum before his alignement is revealed. Only the Archangel knows what player was killed)
* Weak Doctor

For Scum

* Day Rolecop
* 1-Shot Janitor (works on both NKs and lynches)
* Encryptor (allows daytalk)
* Roleblocker
* Godfather (immune to Cop, can choose to let the Weak Doctor live if targetted by him)

Any insight (but especially on balance) is welcome.

So you are asking if a 2-7 game with daytalking scum and a godfather (there won't be a cop anyway) is balanced with a town that has a 1-shot vig and a weak doctor.

I don't think so. Weak doctor was the one who got killed when protecting scum, right? Sounds like a bad idea to me.

And the theme of this game isn't really working: they are going to pick the weakest pr's for each other anyway. There is no real game in it.

Also, I have a 12-player normal (first game, wooooo!) that I'd like someone to review. I think it's balanced, but I'm not totally sure. I think I'm 10th or 11th on the mini normal queue right now.

Sure, I would. You can also make Hoopla happy and send it to the current listmod of the mini normal queue (that's zito). He'll pass it to a reviewing group, as it is mandatory that your setup is reviewed by them.

It's good to have some creative discussion about setups now and then. Whether they are normal or not.

And it's also good to have stuff reviewed by people outside of the normal review group, because they are only with a few.

Mafia which will be ran after my current Large Theme game ends.

Set-up is basically done, we just want an opinion on a few things. Would prefer someone fairly experienced with Large Theme Games (it's about ~24 players).
