They confessed to being scum, which managed to convince other members of the town who were still on the ropes.If the town thinks they're in twilight but they're not, it's not that big a deal. There's a slight delay before the moderator comes in and posts an accurate vote count, and it doesn't take much for some bandwagoner to pop on the last vote after that.
