Person X should have asked Person Y if he wanted to replace back in first, and if no, not have said a thing. If Y had said yes, then Y shouldn't have replaced back in.

Player X should've done it my way, as it's clearly a better way. Also, nothing's stopping Player X from lying. I think this has actually happened before in a game (MBL in Mafia 60, if I remember correctly).

In a way, there's a definite case for banning all post-death talk, since there are roles like revivers and death-talkers (people who can specifically talk to the dead about the game). But if the mod bans all post-death talk, then that would lead to people knowing that there is such a role. So then we'd be better off simply outright banning it all.
