The crew is running around setting up the stage for the 2010 Scummies Award Ceremony, while mith and Mr. Flay look on...
Mr. Flay:
Why are we in this dump*, anyway? We usually have higher standards for the Scummies.
mith:
Bills. Do you know how much it costs to pay off a Time Lord for stopping a war and fixing your plot holes?
Mr. Flay:
What? I thought that was two years ago.
mith:
He's a Time Lord. We've owed him money since before the Sicilian Inquisition.
Mr. Flay:
The... wait, I don't want to know.
mith:
Your loss. It's a really fascinating story, that I wasn't at all just about the make up on the spot.
Mr. Flay:
Well, it's a dump. And security is a nightmare. Who let all these people in early?
mith:
Yeah, about that. I mean, it was a good promotional idea, letting people in to play games, but they're really getting in the way of the stage crew. Who, by the way, don't seem to be entirely trustworthy. What's up with them? And why is this camera crew following us around? Go find a reporter or something, you lot.
Intrepid Reporter:
Thanks, mith. We're here live at the Scummies 2010 Red Carpet, where many fans have arrived over a day early and are set up around the stage, playing games. Let's go bug some of them, and anyone else who happens to stumble by...

I'm pleased my birthday falls on the same day as the ceremony. Did I ever mention that?
There had better be a big cake there. Not that lousy slice of vanilla everyone else gets, but a big gigantic one.

The Fonz walks down the red carpet, looking smooth as ever. Just behind him, two burly minders struggle to carry a large, cylindrical object which scientific types would recognize as a cryogenic statis chamber. Bizarrely, the pod itself appears to be wearing a tuxedo and a bowtie.
The glass panel atop the chamber bears the legend 'In case of policy lynching emergency, break glass.' The glass is somewhat misted up, but a few keen-eyed individuals might be able to recognize the frozen form of Xylthixlm inside, resting until he is next required to save the site from an outbreak of antitown play.
About halfway down, Fonzie pauses to make his trademark 'thumbs up' gesture before heading into the ceremony, skilfully dodging a piece of falling masonry as he goes.
