Hydra Request Thread

I would be interested in being a hydra. I am a newbie and would prefer a more experienced partner, but that doesn't mean I won't accept another newbie either.

on a real note, I am looking for someone to hydra with.

I either want to play an Open game, a Micro game, or any size Theme game with interesting mechanics/roles. I'd prefer the game to start before the end of May, otherwise towards the end of the game there might be periods where the other Hydra head would be required to take over for me.

Essentially, I'm in the Navy. This summer we're "in the shipyards" meaning for ALL of May/June/July and MOST of August I can guarantee we won't be going underway and therefor removing me for long periods of time. This is what has me wanting to take a shot at playing a mafia game again this summer (I haven't played forum mafia in years </3). On the flipside, every sixth day I'll have Duty which means I'm not allowed to leave my ship for 24 hours, and if the duty day is a weekday or sunday, that means I'll go nearly 40 hours straight without internet access, between the duty day and the workday afterwards. There will also be days I'll have to work late (most of last week our work schedule was 5PM-4AM). Therefore I would prefer to Hydra over playing on my own, to ensure the game I play in gets a fully active player in the playerslot I occupy.


If anyone is interested in Hydra'ing with me for a game, please PM me and we can either get on IRC/Skype/you can text me/etc to figure out which game we want to play in. I'd prefer to get the ball rolling on this sooner rather than later. So if anyone is interested, hit me up.

, mainly for the purposes of running Large Normals/Themes in the future wherein I'd like to seamlessly integrate and share privileges with my co-mod. I recruited a back-up mod in my last game, Open 568, and we ran into a couple of hiccups behind the scenes that I'd like to avoid in the future, especially when running larger and/or more complex games.

I hope this clears up any concerns you may have had. If it doesn't or if this is a bad idea, please respond.

Any reasons for such, and/or penalties for certain behavior by such an account that I need to be aware of?

For the record, I intend to:

• Clearly disclose who will be using the account for each game.
  
• Change the password on the conclusion of each game run with the account.
  
• Ensure that anyone sharing the account with me has the credentials to co-mod the specific game type before giving access.

If someone breaks rules on the account you can be held accountable.

Any new features I eventually implement that depend on the data could result in negative behaviour for you (for instance there is a disabled feature that allows for hot swapping between alts, if I were to turn that feature on anyone with access to your modding alt would also have access to your main.)

Understood. Damn, and there's no way to dissociate once you've been tagged as an alt, right? That feature getting activated would make this a definite no-go.
