Am I Themed or Not?

Would/Should Designer Mafia (All players submit a role, the roles are modified and sent out) count as a theme game? How about C"R"PG Cliché Mafia (The roles, etc. are based on some of the more common CRPG clichés.)? Roleplaying Mafia (Players are encouraged to roleplay their posts during the day and get to write their own death scenes, though roles are nothing special)?

Agreed, if you want a second opinion. Except that MeMe and I have the same philosophy with respect to mini/themed games, so really you just got a second copy of the first opinion. Oh well.

That's what I was thinking with regards to the official stance. Personally, I feel differently, so we could rehash this argument if we want to. (I think we talked about it shortly after the mini split pre-crash)

MeMe would know, and that was basically how the rules about themed games congealed in the last discussion on the subject.

I think the first two are borderline. The first involves a twist in the gameplay, but one that really has no effect beyond the first night. I'd put it in New York, only because I believe that Mafias 12 and 13 have twists that are just as large.

The second I'd put in Themed Games, since, well, the roles have a theme. :) It's not exactly based on a book or movie like Princess Bride, but I think it still fits into the same category as Famous Women or Mixed Theme mafia.

Third, definitely New York.
