On a side note, have any of you ever encountered an invisible man type role before? It happened in a game I was in. The first signed up replacement was contacted and given his role. It was something along the lines of that the person didn't count towards anything, but could join the game at any time simply by pming the moderator and then simply posting in the game. From that point forward, he was simply a standard townie. It was a rather odd role.
Ok wait scalebane, i dotn understand. that person could just randomly join the game? wouldnt that person be at a disadvantage? wouldnt that look suspicious? how did t6he people in the game you were react to that role?
It was a "lurker" role that was unknown to all players, wasn't in the game, didn't post, get voted for, vote, etc. As a night choice, he could join the game the next day with various investigative info. (Assuming I'm thinking of the same one as Scalebane).
I thought about doing something like that in my Quantum Mafia game, where I had a "Tachyon particle" role which moved backward in time: starting out dead and eventually coming back to life. I thought about not having him start off dead, but rather have him start off not in the game altogether, but I decided the meta-game logistics were just too annoying.
