It was in an AA/BB rhyming scheme, and there were a "reccomended" number of sylables per line. And everyone thought I was faking a post restriction and lynched me. Making random posts in verse was kind of fun, but actually trying to defend myself against repeated attacks in verse was a nightmare.

Um, just add random rhyming words to the end, like I just did? And if syllables is an issue, just add spacing and punctuation for no particular reason.

Well, this was about the best I could do, when trying to defend myself in verse.

Bastard Mod Mafia roles.

I think the worst of the bunch were the single townie with the false "townie info", and the Nightwatchman. The second falls foul of the Post Restrictions Suck 'rule', and the first is avoidable in most games since the Mod isn't usually actively misleading you. :D

A Werewolf/Mafia mason team, though, was just comedy gold.

And good point.
As for post-restriction roles, I am not in favor of them.
No, there's games where everyone has a post restriction, or else they can't use their power at night. There's no vanillas, and it's usually pretty interesting.

M4yhem was a pikachu cop in Post Restriction 3.

Also, Green Liquid, are you planning a forth?
Lucky, I would of wanted to be Pikachu, to me that would of been a good role. :)

Out of curiosity, Zindaras, accepting for the moment the premise that scum masons aren't bastardmoddery to begin with, why is a mason group composed entirely of scum masons "a goldmine of bastard modding"?
I think it's pretty clear that TSS's awesomeness did alter the roles each of us recieved, and thus he's obviously pro-town. -- Save The Dragons

How about a cop... but he doesn't get to pick who he investigates, the mafia send the choice in. He gets an accurate result on that person, and they can't pick the same target more than once, though.

You are the
Cop who pretends to do his job

Every night after a few rounds in the tavern, you head towards the crime scene. You show up at dawn and pretend to analyze the environment. You learn the alignment of the recently fallen towns person. Anyone else would have to wait until morning to know this information, but you're special.

One role I was acually considering using in a game was this:

You are a lunitic who thinks he's a cop.

Your entire life, you've wanted to be a cop. You've got a police badge, a police uniform, and a real police firearm. However, you would never be accepted into the police force, partly because you're an absolute barking lunatic who talks back to the voices and is often seem having long conversations with flowers. But now that the mafia's here, here's your big chance to prove you really are a cop!

You must claim cop during day 1. If you fail to do so, or if any any point you hint that you're not actually a cop or give any hint there might be a problem with your sanity, you lose all night abilites.

At night, you can attempt to "investigate" someone. You have absolutly no idea what will happen if you do. You win with the town.

Oh, sorry, forgot to put that part there. Basically, the "cop" finds out nothing, but the target notices that he was wandering around his lawn and peeking in his windows at night.

You are the
Insurance Salesman
. Each night, you may approach another player and ask them to take out medical insurance. If they say yes and are later killed, you will be told with 100% sanity the identities of all the scum at daybreak. However, being an insurance salesman, anyone you target will immediately say no and hit you with a baseball bat, causing you to lose your vote tomorrow. The nearest vigilante will come over to see what all the commotion is all about and kill you because you're upsetting the neighbours. You win when you claim cop (after all, the cop is seen as the number 1 hero role for the town, and you insurance people have a deep desire to be admired by the people), but you may not fake claim for fear of a lawsuit. If you fake claim, you permanently lose your ability to post freely, and may only communicate to the town by sending anything you wish to say through the scum for them to edit as they please before approving for you to post. You must post whatever they ask you to post.

This went a long way away from the actual premise of the insurance salesman, but I got a bit carried away.

You are a member of the
Hemophobic Mafia
. You are afriad of blood, so you can't kill anybody. You can, however, send US$20.00 to me and I'll randomly pick someone to kill the target of your choice.

If you fail to make a night choice, you die.

Hmm. off-topic, i know :P but...
I like the idea of an insurance salesman. What if the player, if they accepted, lost their voting rights the next day but would require more than a standard majority to be lynched?

You are the
Paragon of Mafia Hunters
. Everyone you vote for is 100% guaranteed to be mafia.

(How to implement this though? Should he turn people into death millers? Or everyone he votes for is immediately recruited into the mafia?)

This is the... Best. Role. EVAR!

Perhaps the game should start out with a single mafiate, and that anybody for whom the Paragon votes is turned into a Mafia Traitor. If the Paragon later states that he thinks they are pro-town, they revert back to their original role, or something like that. However, the original Mafia Godfather cannot be reverted, so that the Paragon cannot get a town win by stating that he thinks everybody is pro-town. Also, of course, the Paragon wouldn't know that he had this ability, so it's not as though he could state that everybody is pro-town and then play a game with only one scumbag.

A variation on mole's role.

You are PJ. You know that there's a cult out there, you can feel it, and you want it dead. Each night you can choose to target somebody and if you think they are cult they will die. You win when the cult recruiter is dead.

Mod note: Cults target, then kills them. (Doc protects cancel culting, as does UNK issues). Wins when dead. Basically a suicidal vig/death miller creator.
I replaced into Chess Mafia for 6 months, and all I got was a win and this lousy sig.
