I dont post on open forums much.

Can someone direct me to which forum i should post on to talk about a theoretical game type Que?

Completely anonymous games:

randomly generated names for the game itself. Anonymous sign ups (obviously your namesake is attached to the sign, just in a way the general public, other players in particular, can't see it.)

After the games your name and slot is revealed.

removes Meta from the game. There is more accountability due to the fact you cant get away with certain play styles because you're "such and such" player. Dead thread isn't anonymous obviously.

direction to where this discussion or idea should be presented would be appreciated.

Not sure if this is the right place to ask but here goes.

If one were to run a Large Normal game (that's balanced), is it possible to have two Mafia factions with 4 or 5 members each? (No SK.) I'd have to have the Mafia teams have group chat threads for live discussion. Is 6 each out of the question even if the Large Normal game is huge? I'd like to see two huge Scum factions fight it out while trying to avoid detection.

assuming you mean 'a reasonable kpn ratio' when you say 'no sk' . . .
you have 3 deaths a day +-1 for the odd vig. 20+ player would allow for the ratios, but specific roles and power balance will really help determine that. 8 scum is a lot for a normal.

Speaking of normals were re-ruled recently. The new set of rules - many changes were made since last year. For example, now you can have zero non-whitelisted roles, and SKs cannot be in minis. However, what is and is not allowed was really expanded upon.

A theme might be better for you if you want something spicier, just to be safe.

What I really want is just something not special or spicy, but just HUGE.

The Town, Blue Mafia, and Red Mafia. Only two kills each night.

Preferably 5-6 Mafia in each faction.

What I enjoy watching in Mafia games is how, later and later into the games, you start seeing the layers peel back as Scum members die and players super-analyze earlier posts. I love it. I daresay it becomes harder for Mafia to win the more members there are in each group, because it then becomes easier to deduce who is who.

As for the numbers I’d say like 30 people would be a good size if you want 6 person teams

I’m not exactly sure how people don’t know this formula yet, but okay.
4(scum) + 1 = total players
Scum here is being defined as any anti-town faction. SKs are included in this.

If 5 scum per team, thats 10 scum, thats 41 players.
If 6 scum per team, thats 12 scum, thats 49 players.

Math works different for multiball
My analysis of common trends tells me the ratio is generally 2/5s of the game is scum in a multiball

balls can def involve a lot of crosskilling. Or none, depending on how good and of what disposition scum is.

For a large I think my goal is to allow for 5 days minimum for town to get their stuff together.


Anywho, if you have a specific setup in mind you can /in for a mod slot now, and get it reviewed by the NRG. If you have an idea but not a setup, or want to perfect it outside of the nrg you can make a Private Thread now and just invite people to review it. I could make and pass one to you if you want, Wake.

He usually never puts effort into reads like that, which does sometimes get him scumread, but since he was on an alt and we didn't know his meta, I can see CL!him making reads as an exception since he knows he'll probably be scumread otherwise.
