When you receive this role, your role and alignment are altered to match that of another Third Party currently in the game (which must not be groupscum, e.g. Cults do not qualify, but Jesters do). The moderator chooses which Third Party you rival with, if there are multiple in the game. You and this Third Party are placed in a private topic together, in which you are informed of one another's role and alignment. Both of you will flip as the Third Party role and alignment that you match to, with "Rival" prepended.

You win if you meet your win condition before your Rival, and lose if vice versa. This also applies to your Rival. If your win conditions are met simultaneously (e.g. you are both Condemners and thus both win when a specific player is eliminated), you cannot win until your Rival is dead.

If there are no other Third Parties for which to apply this role, or if the only third parties available have complicated meta-interactions that the moderator doesn't want to deal with, this role becomes an Unjester.

You possess the following inventions. You may only use/give one each night. You cannot both use an ability and give an invention on a single night. Unless otherwise specified, you have a choice of either using a particular invention or giving that invention to someone else. Once you use an invention, you can no longer give that particular invention away.

a)

1-Shot M61 Vulcan

: Once per game, you may target a player. You will attempt to shoot the player. Your shot is bulletproof piercing, going through any and all protections. If the target is visited by anyone else, you'll vanillalize them for the rest of the game.

b)

1-Shot Night Vision Goggles

: Once per game, you may target a player. You will attempt to watch and track that player ignoring undetectable statuses that they may have.
You neighborize whoever visits your target, making a chat with them with day and night talk. You investigate whoever your target visits and find out if they have any modifiers on them and which ones.

2-Shot Bomb Detector

: At night, you may target a player. You will attempt to detect whether it carries bomb items or if they have bomb related roles and how many (Items or shots). Then the following day you may trigger those bombs killing their carriers.

d)

1-Shot Nikita

: At night, you may self target. If someone visits you the Nikita will lock and shoot its missile to them, killing them and two more targets sharing a PT with them (Scum chats, Neighborhoods, Mason chats, Cult Chats etc). If you use this shot and nobody visits you, you will lose it regardless.

Additionally, everyone will gain a compulsive vigilante shot and doctor heal.

If a player is targeted by the doctor heal, they prevent only one vigilante shot.
If a player is killed by the vigilante shot, the killer is told their shot was successful, and they become deathproof for the next day and night.

Only one vigilante shot is able to go through and be successful. If there is a tie, RNG the player who is successful. Factional kills do not trigger this deathproof.
