Town 2-Success Deregulator


Twice per game at night, you may target another player. A charge will only be consumed if your action was successful.
That player will have any restrictions on their role removed. They will be notified of the change to their role.

(For example, a 1-Shot Vigilante will become a Vigilante or a Disloyal Fruit Vendor will become a Fruit Vendor.)

Town Strengthener


Each night, you may strengthen a target player. A strengthened player's actions can't be blocked, redirected, or interfered with in any way.




The difference between Empowerer (a MU role) and Strengthener is that the former can't make actions ignore protections or unusual ways of interfering with actions (such as replacement).

Each night, you may target a player.

The moderator rolls a d100 to determine your percentage of success for that night.

The moderator rolls a second d100 to determine if you succeed or not. You will be informed of the second d100 roll regardless of whether your action succeeds or fails.

If you succeed, you will learn your target's alignment.

Mafia Goon with an Item Nullifier

May use the Item Nullifier to negate any abilities given to someone by an item vs. being innate with the role (for instance if a player received a vig shot, being targeted with the Item Nullifier would turn the shot into a blank). Item Nullifier is used by submitting a player name and if that player uses an item the nullifier activates and is consumed. The Item Nullifier may be used day or night, and once used stays targeting the player chosen until the next phase change.
this might not even do anything rn lol. just felt like submitting because I want to hit 1000 posts here eventually

Circus Clown


Factional Ability: Each night you may target a player, assuming no interference to your action the target will receive the following message.
"You have received an additional win condition, if you are eliminated by vote today you exit the game with a win."

If the player you successfully targeted is eliminated via vote the day after you targeted them, their alignment will change to Circus Clown as they are eliminated. They flip as such. Their role is unaffected. This conversion ignores any means to prevent it. [If for some reason this conversion would still fail, don't send the night message the night before]

As a Circus Clown, you have the following win condition: You exit the game with a win if you are eliminated via vote. You also exit the game immediately with a win if 2 or more circus clowns have exited the game with a win. Neither of these win conditions end the game.

At the start of each day phase, the name of a random living player will be pmed to you. If that player is eliminated via vote the same day, you and the player you targeted last night with your factional ability exit the game in a win. You both have your alignments revealed as hypnotiser and your roles as your actual roles.

Factional Ability: Each night you may target a player, assuming no interference to your action the target will receive the following message.
"You have received an additional win condition, if you eliminate [PLAYER] by vote today you exit the game with a win."
This action fails if [PLAYER] is the same as the target. [PLAYER] is the player name pmed to you at the start of that day phase.

Town Immutable


You are immune to being modified, applied a status effect, culted, as well as to any other effect which would otherwise affect your role, modifier, or alignment -- whether that be in a positive or negative manner.

Each night, you may target a player to temporarily share this immunity with them for that night and the following day.

e.g. If you target a Town Doctor, the mod will post that the Town Doctor's target was healed by a Doctor (but not who the Doctor is).

Each night, you may learn a player's role.

You have the Enchanted Fae Bauble, a mysterious artifact of the fae world.

However, if you are attempted to be affected or targeted by any Flux Stabilization effect, you will unavoidably die.

Mod Note: Remove "(version 2)" from the role card.

Good luck finding the weakness to this role.

The Enchanted Fae Bauble is a mysterious item with a mysterious ability that may be active and single target, active and zero target, and/or passive. The Enchanted Fae Bauble may be used as a single target item even if it has no active effect, and it will only visit if it actually wants to visit.

More than one Enchanted Fae Bauble may exist.

The Storyteller


At the beginning of the game, write a title for a story. The moderator will announce "Gather round, good and evil forces. Let
The Storyteller
tell you a story titled [TITLE]"

During each phase, write a paragraph either starting or continuing the story that would be apropriate with the given title.

Whenever phases change, the moderator will post your paragraph, and as all players, including dead players, to vote whether they like the story so far or not. If at least 2/3rds of voters like it, then you will be immune to all forms of death for this phase.

Upon night 7, your story shall end. At this time, all players may vote whether your story was good or bad. If at least 3/4ths of players agree that it was good, then you win the game.

All players charged with mysterious energy have a Shield (Each night, you may intercept your target's kill actions, becoming the target of those kill actions.) ability. Players charged with mysterious energy will be informed they gained a Shield ability, and players that lose mysterious energy charge will be informed they lost their gained Shield ability.




Here are some more Crystals (a role concept by Gamma Emerald), as I like the concept.

Werewolf with Holy Magic

You begin the game with three mana. Each night while you have mana, you may attempt to cast one of the following spells (provided you have enough mana):
Prayer (1 mana): Asks the heavens for help. Increases the user's luck.*
Cure (2 mana): Heals a target with healing magic. Equivalent to the effect of a doctor. This spell can self-target.
Cleanse (2 mana): Channels energy to renew a living target. The target's status is reset back to its state at the beginning of Day 1. A player's status excludes role and alignment changes but includes any other mutable attribute of a player.
Divine Bolt (3 mana): Zaps a target with a divine bolt of lightning. They gain the "cursed" status and lose 2 HP. This status lasts until cured by a doctor or an effect that specifically names the status. Cursed players take one fewer vote to eliminate and lose an additional 1 HP from all damaging spells.

Mod Notes: If no other role introduces an HP system, every player starts with 8 HP. A player dies if they reach 0 HP or less.

* - Whether this has any effect depends on the other roles in the setup. Moderator discretion applies for the specifics if there is a luck mechanic in the game.

Fate Entwiner


During the night, you may target two players. If you succeed, both players will be entwined. If all players become entwined this way, the moderator will announce "The Fate Entwiner has tied the entire town together!"
If you would be redirected to yourself in any way, the redirection will fail.

You will always know who is entwined with who.

If a player other than you targets a player who is entwined with another player, they will instead target both of those players.
If a player who is entwined dies by any means, all players who were entwined with them will die with them.

If you die, all players will cease to be entwined by you.

You win when all other players have died.

Town Aware of Demons


You know if there is a role that is related to demons, devils, fiends, daemons, imps, or other forces of darkness.

Each night, you may focus. If your focus is successful, you will learn more about the forces of darkness.

1 successful focus - You will learn every role related to demons, devils, fiends, daemons, or other forces of darkness in the game.
2 successful focuses - You will learn what alignments are represented by the aforementioned roles. (and will receive an up to date list of roles if they have changed)
3 successful focuses - You will learn what players are represented by the aforementioned roles. (and will receive an up to date list of roles and/or alignments if they have changed)
4 successful focuses - You will be returned a combined list, notating every role related to demons, devils, fiends, daemons, or other forces of darkness in the game along with their associated alignments and players.

Any further successful focuses will return the same result as 4 successful focuses (which may be useful if roles or alignments change).

If your focus fails, you will learn that your focus has failed.

This role does not count as related to demons, as it is just someone aware of demons.

Examples of results:

These examples will assume Player A is a

, and Player H is a
Town Arcane Fiend
.

Informed portion of the role - You know there is a role that is related to demons, devils, fiends, daemons, imps, or other forces of darkness.

Arcane Fiend


2 successful focuses - These are the alignments represented by roles related to demons, devils, fiends, daemons, imps, or other forces of darkness:

Reroll, but add the Orbital modifier


Reroll, but add Orbital to the role name and add "Your actions may target a player even if they are Commuting, even if they have the
Extraterrestrial
tag. However you are not Strong-Willed and thus your action can be blocked, redirected or interfered with." to the role card.

Rolling Vanilla Townie after this gives you an Orbital Townie, for example.




I'm not sure if Flying should be considered protection or true untargetability - if it's the latter, Orbital players may target Flying players.
