Why you should never claim when being lynched.

Sometimes if I'm giving 0 fucks I'll just self hammer. Sometimes I won't claim anything implying that I have a pr that cannot be ousted. Sometimes I'll fakeclaim. I don't think I've ever been in a position that I would just claim vanilla townie though. I think I'd rather do anything than that. But I agree. Townies are way too generous with PR claims. Like if someone is playing like complete shit and then claims Vigilante I'm like

It may save a different town PR from getting shot however. It's much worse to lynch one for another to then die the following night. Yes they sign death warrants, but you're forcing scum to kill them, and if scum go for lots of fake claims, there will be at some stage where the town pr will live that night because scum may still think the lynch can be pushed through.

If I can't find the reasoning behind my wagon to be logical I'll refuse to claim, if the logic is there from at least one person, I expect to be lynched, and I'm leaving with a strong townread - and give all data.

It's better to be shot at night than waste a lynch that could land on scum. Besides, there might be protective roles to save your life.

I agree that instead of giving town a chance to lynch scum instead, it is better to accept your lynch as a townie. Having a town PR die by lynch and another die by night is far preferable to extending your survival by a single phase.

Mafia generally don't kill lynchbait was a meh claim. Maybe a cop. They'd rather keep them around to maybe get lynched and give their own fakeclaims plausible deniability for not getting killed.

People needs to learn to lynch a claimed PR.
I've done it twice and both landed on scum, including my first towngame.

Definitely. I don't think I've ever seen it turn out bad yet. Besides PRs are overrated.
