A Game of the Year is meant to be the game that we can all point to later and say "This game was the best game the site could offer that year in terms of Design, Playerlist, and moderating capability." Why no scumlynch D2? ONLY because town got modkilled. Had it not been for that, fairly good chance that'd be D2 and D3.

Pretty much speaks for itself.

Scum were on the ropes D2.
ONE town player [did] something stupid and [got] modkilled. (Said town player, by the way, was otherwise playing well and it was a rule that I personally disagree with in the first place even though I understand the reasoning, so while the modkill was justified by the rules it is not too large a slate on their record, but I digress.)
Instead of scum being lynched D2, you [got] a modkill on town D2, on a day that otherwise would almost certainly have been a scum lynch, but there's no way to know because the modkill happened.

The point is, the town played a VERY strong game. There was one little hiccup, which was one town player's fault on one little thing that caused the modkill, but otherwise it was a clean sweep. Mostly based off of play, without help from PRs, even though the PRs played optimally basically every night. (They just were a nonfactor given scum's actions.)

I could add more, but I really think the town deserves it.

These nefarious bastards spotted and eliminated the cop night one, took out the hidden doc night two and then had the unmitigated gall and audacity to counterclaim the known doc day three to virtually ensure a win in LYLO. It's one of the most unexpected and gutsy plays I have ever seen. I hate them very much. Please brand them as Best Scum Group to ensure that no other townies die screaming in their sleep at their hands as I did.

It was really UT's response that made it. I randomly posted lyrics to an Erasure song that had been stuck in my head all day as scum as a way to bait UT into hammering my buddy, who was at L-1. UT responded, moments later, with an entire post comprised of GIFs from the music video for the song I quoted and hammered him. This wasn't planned, but apparently UT

already had a folder of GIFs from that video

-Players (except the gambler) will have 5 points
-Points are gained in the following methods:
--Town players gain +1 point for every player that dies.
--Mafia players gain +1 point for every Town player that dies, and +2 points for every Mafia player that dies.
--Surviving a night gains +1 point.
-Players may publically will their points to another player upon death (PM host prior to death).
-There are seven raffles each day: Public Raffles (Gold, Purple, Blue, Red) and three Mafia Raffles (Black).
-All players can participate in the Public Raffles, but only Mafia can participate in the Mafia Raffle.
-All players may PM the host to purchase raffle tickets each day.
-Once a PM is sent, the choice to purchase tickets cannot be undone.

each day, the raffles changed. Day one, there was a Doublevote, there was a track, neighborise, and bodyguard up for grabs.
Each day, the raffles brought new powers, and new strategies.
The Neutral Gambler was a role who started with 0 points, and to win, had to either get 15 points, or survive with 12. He could rig one town raffle per day, and win it no matter what. He additionally had a 3shot bulletproof. Finally, beyond the grave, he had a 1-shot ability to choose 1 raffle and gain points equal to the amount of tickets bought for that raffle.
Anyways, it was an extremely fun game, with a very unique mechanic.
