moderating question

Hello, I was wondering, since I joined on November 27th, would that mean I could attempt to mod a game after February 27 or would I have to wait until March 1? Also, what timezone would the moderating time begin? For instance I have found it can be the 27th in my timezone but not in a lot of others which is why I am asking.

I can't speak in an official capacity, but if I were you I'd /in to mod on Feb 27; by the time your game came up it would be a pretty moot point. It's not like you're going to be able to start running your game on the dot of the eligible time.

But yeah, that requirement should be changed to be days not months.

Thanks for the info, once I get started running a few games and get used to it I intend to run a few themed ones I came up with. Paranoia Agent Mafia, Creepypasta mafia and Zero Escape mafia to name a few ideas.

As concerns timezones, I also can't speak authoritatively, but I have a feeling that being mostly American, the list mods would reject an /in if in their view it came a day too early. I could be wrong on this. My advice would be, if you can wait three months, another day won't hurt too much.

I believe the join dates change with someone's settings, as I think I've seen come scumday cakes appear a day late in my opinion of when their join date says it is.

When I modded my first game I waited until the time I joined (viewable in your profile) had passed before /inning to the queue, (I just went and looked, I missed it by 40 minutes)

Also it could depend on which queue you're going into, the Normal queue currently has an Australian running it, whereas the rest are all Americans.

Thanks everyone, when I am able to mod I will start working on a setup for my Paranoia Agent game. Will probably have 3 factions (town/police officers/the people that assist them, mafia/the suspects in the case like the kid and cultists/Lil slugger, when he picks a target he hits them over the head and they enter that field you see in the credits whilst their bodies help him.)

Well it's not so much of a problem as something that isn't traditionally done. Those terms tend to currently have other meanings to the average person.

For example: When someone says "That person looks Asian", one doesn't generally think they're referring to a Russian, Israeli, Syrian, or Saudi Arabian, but they technically could be. And when's the last time you heard of a person in the U.S. who moved there from Egypt called an "African American", even though they are?
