If a group of treasure is up for grabs, you can post in real-time Acquire: Treasure's Name, and take that treasure as your own. You'll have to be fast, though, so I would recommend toggling off the 'Preview' function, if you want to be a skilled Treasure collector. If a cache of treasure does get released, I'll momentarily lock the thread and apply a 24-hr deadline. This gives enough notice. Once deadline resolves and thread is unlocked, it will be a furious free-for-all for the treasure. Players will know in each Vote Count who has which treasure, and the accrued value each player has."
We all live in different time zones and have different periods of free time. First Come First Served gives some players an unfair advantage.
In a game Ika hosted there were raffle drawings for each ability, maybe something like that here? Each player has 24 hours to opt in to each drawing?
Hm...
If I were to go for raffles instead, there'd be no opting in or out. Players would be randomly given an item, or nothing. And if we go this route, we'd need treasures to be exchanging hands, so the players can have some modicum of freedom in getting the treasures they want, since they can't make a mad dash for it.
The gist of it is to have chunks of treasure being released, and the possibility of players being able to take one during that time (no taking two or more). I know that in the Kirby game itself, that little guy had to come upon each treasure, and the player would press 'Up' on the control pad to nab it. I don't know. With the Time Zone issue that is a legitimate thing to consider. If we take time out of the equation, we'll have to leave it to randomization... and conquest. Players will be able to do things in order to take the treasures they want... Thinking it over. Also considering PT threads that function as scenarios where the player can complete it and take the treasure in it.
