Entirely disagree. Doing this introduces mod-WIFOM (Player B got replaced before Player A, therefore Player A is VT/Player B is scum).

The standard before the rule was introduced was for mods to use RNG.

The replacement order rule sacrificed fairness for increased enjoyment of the replacement player.

I imagine this rule was put in place to combat the rising number of replace outs and make replacing in more enticing.

It makes sense. I see the reasons for why admins would do it.

Mafia is a game after all. Replacing out is a big problem, and people wouldn't replace in as much if there was a good chance that they would be stuck with a slot they would not enjoy.

You didn't answer the question. Your replies read like you're getting super worked up.

Probably the same reason I got banned. People take me too seriously just because I like to cuss.

I give relatively few fucks. Independent of the fucks I give, however, is the level of douchiness trying to only replace into one alignment is.

I'm not emotionally invested, and no I'm not playing under an alt.

Is it more or less douchy if the person selectively reading games to replace into is not trying to replace into any single alignment, but rather trying to replace into non-vanilla roles of any alignment?

No. I think the only valid non-douchey claims for reading a game before you officially replace in is so that A) you know it won't be a waste of your time (e.g. slot at L-1 with 3 days left in the DP, etc) or B) so you're already caught-up by the time you're officially inserted by the mod.
