How many games at once can you typically handle?

3 is possible but focus split too much, plus we gots memory issues, to the point where we have to keep notes and everytime we sleep/wake up we have to re-read all/most of the thread to get a good handle on what is going on/play optimally. Which is also why we typically only sleep every 2-4 days on average. Too much work to be doing that in 3+ games.

Could be wrong here, but find it hard to believe ppl can play 10+ games AND focus enough to play their best on each.

Been in games with ppl who be off and on lurking, who were playing too many games.. Not gunna name names though lol.

At two games I'm waking up earlier and going to bed later just to keep up with one and only hope I get around to the other in a timely manner. I usually stick to one and once I feel like it's nearing it's end, I'll join another one. I'll pray the second doesn't start until my last one ends, but sometimes I end up juggling two at once, and that already feels like to much for me XD

i know what you mean. i go kinda stir crazy with only one ongoing game and end up doing crazy things like liveblogging a reread of a 277 page game in thread. but if i’m in too many then my accuracy suffers.

Yep. But having been round for 5 years, you would have expected someone to have learned something in that time and whilst it is a game, it is also a 3 month commitment (roughly) and if someone is not able to play to the best of their ability during that time (and I don't mean an off week or two, or the odd game where you are just shite, I mean consistently awful) then maybe looking at things like the amount of games you are in might help.

Look, I've never played with you, I don't know how many games you are in. I have been in 5 games before at once and played them mostly successfully. It's doable, I'd advise against it, there is more to life than mafiascum and at 5 games, you

I have played with him enough, to know he can't and shouldn't do it. We knew it years ago and the fact he hasn't learnt better by now is astounding.

It's a game but there are also other people who play the game. Half-assing things is incredibly inconsiderate to other players and the mod. (I've been guilty of this several times, it's why I stopped playing for a while and I'm taking it slow now)

I think my max at one point was 9. Now I try to stick with 3 or 4 as my max.
It is easy to stay caught up with games that are not the typical "let's race to get 100 pages the fastest on Day 1!"

I really hate that the current trend is to post so much that no one is able to communicate effectively.

Honestly, I'd say 2 for me to actually play well / have enough time to be attentive etc. I usually get bored and play more because I get sort of stir crazy... I might want to work on that

As I said, its specific to a poster, BUT 12 games is too much for people, that's why we have a limit on minis. If I were to place my own capabilities into this, I'd be saying 3 games is stupid. At a certain point, you aren't going to remember who is actually modding which game let alone who's playing. You are juggling with 12 roles, 12 different night actions (potentially), over a 100 different players, depending on what you are playing it could be up to 200. (okay there may be an overlap in players, but they will be playing different roles, and then you have to remember which role and suspicions you have in which game. You will have your own gameplan for each game. If anyone can do that, they shouldn't be playing mafia, they should be putting their talents to better use.
