• When you finish any three games, with at least one outside of The Road to Rome, you are then considered a Semi-Experienced (SE) player and will occupy one of the SE playing spots.
  
• SE players may play in as many Newbie games as they can handle.

Never play outside the road to rome, and never reach SE.

Could have a 5+ year old acc, complete 100+ games, and still take up a newbie slot, and actually not be allowed to participate as an SE.

Once you play 2 games as a Newbie you are not allowed to fill a Newbie slot and must become a SE to enter a Newbie Game.

As a Newer Player, you are only allowed to play two Newbie games from scratch.
Once you have played two Newbie games you are no longer allowed to play Newbie games (except as a replacement) until you play a game outside The Road to Rome, thereby qualifying as an SE player. See the SE section below for more information.

Before the outside RtR rule was introduced, we had a number of players that didn't leave it and just played as SEs once they had enough games.

Is that such a problem? afaik nureins played mostly newbie games and he was a really great player.

There was a time when there were far too many SEs in the queue but not enough Newbies to launch games.
