Communication between heads is only allowed in the PT. Outside communication is considered a violation of game rules.

For some mods.

Others don't care.

Some want to see Skype logs.

To be perfectly honest I have never enjoyed playing with or in a hydra as any alignment so I might be biased here

After being in a few myself, I think hydra-ing should be against the rules. I agree with you there.

I don't think they need to communicate in front of the mod, though. That's unnecessary. What are they going to say outside of the game that they can't say in it that the mod needs to see? If they're treated as one person, it's sort of as effective as giving everyone their own PT and saying "write your notes in it I have to see them."

Let's not delve into the hydra discussion here.

The issue as I see it is that unlike QTs, you can't edit PT posts. Hence you're unable to redact certain things that were said, be it things that other players may find offensive (such as determining the competence of the various town players, which is a common scum discussion), scum strategy in general, and other personal stuff. When you force scum teams to release PT post-game, it severely hinders what the scum can discuss. The whole point of a scum QT is so that scum can have uninterrupted conversation.

Not as a player last I checked?

I've always had to request for mods to redact, and it's a lot of work for the mods involved.

The other annoying things with PTs is if I mis-type something, I can't go back and change it.

Editing posts isn't a lot of work, even for a mod. And what's the big deal if you make a typo in a PT? Just EBWOP.

In the begining of mafia scum the idea of posting the scum qt was not thought of so it was not done. Then people started doing it. And people started not wanting it done because they said something they didn't want others to know. Scum teams should have to unanimously agree to release the scum pt at game end to avoid iratation

I personally never say stuff in scum chat that I got issues saying elsewhere. I still give scum chance to withhled their scumchat in stuff I mod. I ask them all at game end if they want it live. if any scumo votes NO then it stays private

Not so much a typo, more so content.

And mods don't like you very much if you have a large number of posts that need editing. Plus its tedious trying to go back yourself in MS format, and making a note of things that need to be redacted as the game goes along just clutters posts.

I don't like using PTs for hydra chat

Easier to just text or Facebook

I'm thinking of mandating that all hydras in my games can only communicate through 64-bit encoded morse messages tapped out on a legendary artifact resonating through the sewers under Vatican City at midnight, while wearing an occult robe and soaked in the blood of the fallen
