What do you do when a player is unreasonable?

Post Post #0 (ISO) » Sat Jun 18, 2016 1:02 pm

Hypothetically speaking, what would you do if someone was tunneling someone hard, acting extremely arrogant and insulting everyone else in the game for not following them? Do you keep playing and try to get them to see why their behavior is beneficial for anyone or do you just replace out?

You take the high road most of the time and replace out if you can't handle it

I have been the arrogant player too tho so give them a fair shake and try to explain

What if they keep acting like that throughout the entire game?

I just read a game where the players let this guy do the stuff that I said for over 100 pages and didn't lynch him. That's why I was wondering

It wasn't me was it

Edit actually I don't think I ever insulted anyone for not sheeping me, I usually just yelled at people in the hopes they'd confess

So to answer your question, handle them by threatening to tear their skin off their bodies and eat it like KFC. Metaphorically.

Isn't it just lynch-er-ooni on the unreasonable party at that point?
I guess if they're being unreasonable and you're town (and you think they're town) then it's up to you to talk to them and explain why you think they're being ureasonable.
If others agree with them though, then it ends up being lynch them or you which doesn't really advance a scum agenda if they happen to be scum.

But yeah I get where you're coming from. Sometimes townies can tunnel as hard as fuck, the other townie gets lynched and the game just goes on.
I guess just try to connect with the unreasonable person if you can, then ignore them and do your own thing, and then if they're town they might see the light.

I actually thought this was easier to answer :P
But good question.

You guys say lynch the unreasonable one as if it ever actually happens

People love the idea of policy lynching but in practice not so much

Depends. Most players can be handled by ignoring them. Some will need to be dealt with by means of a replace out.
There's nothing that says that a fake can't beat the real thing.

don't call it a policy lynch. say that you're scumreading them. pretend you're scum and make up reasons.

Then you get yourself lynched for making up bullshit reasons to lynch someone and someone calls you out.

Great advice.

Probably because policy lynches are different from utility lynches and we're talking about utility lynches ITT not policy lynches.

Policy lynches are like Lynch All Liars
