Large Theme Mafia

Good evening, everyone.

At the moment I'm starting to piece together a Large Themed game (reqs are met). I have a few questions about this, and would like your input.

1)
How large is too large? The current player minimum is 30 players, but I'm open to adding more slots in relation to the number of NKs.

2)
Planning to have at least 2 Co-Mods. Is this enough?

3)
How wacky and intricate are you allowed to make your large theme games? When I modded games on USMB I'd add varying layers of intricacy to make the game more fun. How many layers are you allowed? Can you combine elements of different Setups, like Fire & Ice with small Rebels in the Palace-esque faction while throwing in a modified Cultist? When it comes to layers I'm not necessarily talking power roles or power in general, but other unique, intricate, and creative abilities that will certainly stoke interest and discussion.

Normally, people have only one co-moderator, and one runs the risk of having too many cooks in the kitchen if there's several people involved in the process. Is there a specific reason for needing multiple co-moderators?

The basic requirement is one backup or co-moderator. As far as I can tell from the Large Theme Queue thread, that does not change for larger games, but you should check with Untrod Tripod. It's up to you if having additional people would be helpful for sanity checks, real-time action resolutions, etc.

The game can get as wacky and big as you want it to be.
It's just that if you step in too far people won't join.
You don't want a game mechanic to interfere with scumhunting, and a game too large will bore and tire people out. Personally, I think 30 is huge considering summer break is almost over for a lot of folks so you'll want to get as much as pre-in as possible if you want it filled.

might be too many...

even ONE co-mod can create the potential for a breakdown in communication.
