Aeronaut wrote: Hi everyone!
So I've noticed that there are a good amount of people on this site who want to learn to better their play (myself included), as well as a good amount of people who enjoy helping people to learn to better their play. (If you don't believe me, look at the entire Mafia Discussion forum).
I've seen a few people offer to Hydra with others to show them how they play, for personal improvement and what-have-you. So, I thought it might be a cool idea to make a thread where people (who would like to better their play) can sign up to hydra with a more experienced player (who would like to share their personal techniques)!
Here's an example.Aeronaut signs up as a learner. He goes into that section of the list below. Mastin is already signed up as a regular player, so Aeronaut gets paired with Mastin, and they join a game together. Aeronaut, the player who wishes to better his play, gets some good knowledge / experience with someone who is willing to give it.
Guidelines
/In as a Learner if:
You want to improve your game and youspecifically wantsomeone/more experienced player to show you their techniques and better ways of play.
/In as a Teacher/Player if:
You have knowledge to give, and enjoy showing your techniques to others. You want to help someone improve how they play. (Keep in mind, there's no need to be an uber-experienced player for this! Even the newest of players can help someone else out!)
/In as Either/Both if:
You don't mind either way, you just want to hydra with someone and learn more through them, just for fun. Some players like to hydra because it gives a new perspective on playing, rather than better playing in general. Keep in mind, you're more likely to be grouped quicker if you choose this column!
This is to help players who are interested in hydras but are either too shy to ask players or just don't know anyone who would want to hydra or just want to open themselves to hydra with someone they just don't know.
